Being
so exhausted from Tuesday night’s lack of sleep, I fell
asleep the moment I tipped back in my Recliner last night. The
interesting part was as I was tipping back, I remembered seeing Kathy
shut her Bedroom light off. It wasn’t a perfect night’s
sleep, but every time I closed my eyes, it felt like I was floating
on a cloud. When I opened my eyes to start my day at 8:00 this
morning, it felt wonderful not to have a Headache
and to actually feel rested.
Trying to start the day off right, we had a smaller portioned bowl of Cereal, before taking our Coffees to our Computers. On Monday when we were gathering certain things from the Trailer, Kathy had insisted somethings needed to be brought to our Apartment. The big problem was, since most of our Cupboards and Closets were already full, where would we put it. Things were rearranged and repacked and before we knew it, there were Two smaller sized Boxes ready to bring back to our Storage Unit.
That was when one of the Interns at the Windsor Pain Care Clinic called. It had been a chaotic day there as well yesterday, so it was past their closing time when she reviewed my message. I interrupted, saying I was home and would have appreciated that late day call. She explained, that the Two 50Mg Capsules are actually Six Times stronger than the 100Mg Capsules I was taking before. She did not answer when I mentioned that is misleading and the Government would like to hear that.
She continued saying that it is not uncommon, when switching Medication, not to feel any effect for as much as a Week. I mentioned, I am taking them to avoid the Pain, and they should find a better way of switching someone’s treatment. She ended the conversation with seeing me at my next appointment. I think she was getting Nervous.
When Kathy followed me out the door into the 100% Humidity, she gave me no arguments when I told her to sit in the Truck, with the Air Conditioning already turned on. The sky was completely filled with Clouds and the 39 MPH Wind Gusts were making her a little leary about the weather.
As we were pulling out of the driveway at 11:30, we thought it would be wise to stop at Wendy’s for a quick lunch. Chicken Nuggets filled the need, Chocolate Frosties helped cool us down, and the Free Seniors Fountain Drinks helped in our rehydration.
Just as we were arriving at Guardian Storage, another vehicle had just activated the entrance Gate, so like many that have followed us in, we did the same today. Management prefers each vehicle to check in, but when it feels like the Century Mark, nobody is going to wait. It only took Five Minutes to leave behind what should have never come to the Apartment. We collected our Mail at the Office on the way out.
Not in the mood to play with the Heat, we headed straight home. Luckily, I had turned on the Air Conditioner before we left earlier. As we sat back at our Computers, the Clouds started to leave the area and the Sun filled the sky.
We waited to share a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza to just before the “6 o’clock Local News” was about to begin. Their Radar showed that we were in the path of today’s Heat-Wave stretching up from Texas. We are expecting more Rain, overnight.
As soon as the News was over, we drove over to the nearby Dollarama to pick up a roll of Duct Tape. Back to our building, we needed to do a quick modification to the Tonneau Cover on the Truck. Like most RVers say, “WD 40 and Duct Tape fixes everything”.
We later watched an episode of “Law and Order, Special Victims”.
I can only hope that I sleep as well as last night or better.
