Rebuilding and Mattress Wrestling.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Just when I thought that things were improving, it was a near sleepless night but when I headed to Bed for the final time, I woke from a deep sleep just under Three Hours later. That did the trick.

The bad thing was all the Planning I had done with my Stiff Achy Joints, slowing down our departure. With lower temperatures and a slight Breeze, this would be perfect for working inside the Trailer. The only way to fix that was to have a Hotdog Wrap for an early lunch, quick, easy and made to taste. Always trying something different, I added just a touch too much Cheddar Cheese to the mix.

Just in case, we took the Truck with us today. The temperature lingered close to 72 F (22 C), but with clear sky, if you spent any time in the direct Sunlight you felt like you were cooking. Stopping at the Office when we first arrived at Guardian Storage, I went in to purchase a Plastic Mattress Bag. Of course, we needed to get the Calculator out, to convert the Metric Measurements to Standard.

In the Trailer, Kathy and I struggled to get it over the Mattress, while I was pushing it on, Kathy was pulling it off. I finally got her to just hold what I had gotten in place, then switch sides. Thinking that we were now good to go was premature because the Mattress kept trying to slide out of the Bag. We added load straps to keep everything together, then I was single-handedly able to wrestle it on edge and pull it to the Kitchen. When we first got the Trailer, an adjustment needed to be made to repair the builtin Headboard. The last owner was a Professional Motorcycle Mechanic, but a terrible Carpenter. Unfortunately, my Hip, then Shoulder made it nearly impossible to do for sometime. Since the latest Injection and Nighttime Medication, I was able to reset that problem, but there was more. I managed to find Two Woodscrews in my parts organizers to hold it in place, but I did not have the ones to hold the Trim that he had replaced with undersized fasteners.

Just climbing in and out of the Pickup Bed, added to my Pain Levels. As we were closing up for the day, I could not find my Sunglasses. We searched both the Truck and Trailer with no luck. As I was locking the Trailer, I looked over to see Kathy’s hanging around her neck and mine on her face.

Headed over to The Home Depot, but instead of parking close to the building, I parked near the exit, where A&W was located. We enjoyed our supper and it was always top notch, but times have changed and like all the other Fast Food Outlets have gotten expensive. After eating, we went through the Hardware Section at The Home Depot. I was surprised that they did not carry exactly what we needed. We’ll start earlier tomorrow and check a couple other Hardware Stores.

After that much walking, I dropped Kathy at the front entrance before parking the Truck. I barely got my shoes off, when the “6 o’clock Local News” started. It will warm just a bit, but we will be seeing a lot more Rain. That means, we will be watching the Weather, in order to get anything done.

Here is hoping that tonight and tomorrow are better than last night and today.
