Kathy Saves The Day and Interesting Comments.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After another good night’s sleep I was busy before 8:00 this morning getting things ready for breakfast, opening the Blinds, changing my clothes before turning on the Lights and getting things ready. We finished the last of the Rhubarb Sauce on our Toast before taking our morning beverage to the Computers. The only thing I had time to check this morning was The Weather Network which showed a chance of our seeing the Sun through the Clouds today. Checking the Radar it was hard to see our location under the Green and Yellow Storm Clouds covering our area.

It has been Two Weeks since the last time I did the Laundry so there were no more delays. While I sorted things Kathy busied herself by getting supper started in our Crock Pot.

By the time I left the Apartment everything was sorted as well as pretreated now it was just a matter of getting it cleaned. Due to the even floor I checked the Second Floor Laundry Room first but someone else had the same idea as I did and had all the Machines in use.

There was nobody in the First Floor Laundry Room so I started getting things in the Washers when I realized that I had forgotten the Pods upstairs. Luckily I bring my Cell Phone in case Kathy needs me. After a quick call she brought them down just as I finished loading the Washers. On one of the Washers you are supposed to be able to use Quarters or Loonies (Canadian Dollar Coins) but when I used Quarters it simply took them without any credit so I had to use the Loonies.

I played a puzzle on my Phone until the Washers finished and I transferred things to the Dryers. Since it was past 11:30 I headed to the Apartment where I made Split Pea Soup for our lunch while Kathy served Shortbread Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert. She had been busy reorganizing her clothes putting away the Summer attire and bringing out the warmer seasonal wear.

Back at the Laundry Room as the Dryers were shutting down the contents were still damp so I had to run them through a second cycle. Not all Machines work the same. There was another problem. Remember when the Washer would not take the Quarters I had to use Loonies well now I was short. Again I called Kathy who drove over to Motor City Community Credit Union to get more Loonies.

It was nearly 3:30 when I walked in the Apartment with all the Laundry folded and I needed to sit for a few minutes. I restarted my Computer to find the temperature had only reached 49 F (9.4 C). Kathy started getting things ready for supper.

While I unpacked the Laundry Hamper and Basket Kathy busied herself plating Roast Beef and Potatoes with Gravy along with Carrots. It all tasted delicious and there’s enough for a few more meals.

After doing up the Dishes and cleaning up the Kitchen we watched the 6 o’clock Local News. The Coronavirus Cases are levelling off with only Two New Cases in our area but no Deaths. Globally many other countries are seeing spikes in the number of Cases and Deaths. Our Weather will be Wet and Cooler as each day passes with parts of Ontario turning white.

I finally had the chance to look at some of today’s Comments. I’ll respond to them tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Even though you did not leave your apartment you both had another busy day. It is a good thing you have access to the machines on the other floors of your building.

Congratulate Kathy, the dinner she made looks delicious. As you know I can not even boil water but I have recently started looking into using my crockpot to keep the kitchen from overheating as I live in Texas and our temperatures are still in the 90's.

I am so tired of people running around with a mouth full of Scripture and a heart full of hate.

  4. I like cooking pot roast in the crock pot. Always comes out so tender. I, too, add potatoes and carrots but also onions and celery. Looks good enough to eat.

  7. Well yea. Looks like nobody wants to start a fight today. Probably the thought of doing laundry takes care of that spfizerinctum. I know that's supposed to be a word, and I finally found the right way to spell it one time, but I've forgotten. Something my father used to say about excess energy, etc.
