Appointments, Registering For A Vaccine and Town Hall Meetings.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

The Fresh Air did it. That’s right all the Fresh Air we were both exposed to yesterday had us both sleeping like a couple of rocks. The only time I looked at the Clock was when Kathy was getting out of bed at 8:32 this morning which made me get moving fairly quick.

We had a lite breakfast and brought our Coffee/Tea to the Computers while the other was busy getting ready to head out the door. The Weather Network was very accurate on the Rain and Wind continuing until noon along with the Mid-Fifty degree temperatures for our highs.

Our Doctor's Office through the Rain.

We arrived at our Family Doctor’s Office a bit ahead of time only because many of the Road Construct Projects were shut down due to the weather. Kathy was about to head in when I had to tell her to stay put. Since the Coronavirus Lock-Down going to the Doctors has really changed. I called inside telling them we were there and giving them my Cell Phone Number for them to call.

As soon as an Examination Room opened up we were called in and the Doctor was right behind us, no waiting here. He started with Kathy reviewing her tests and making certain he wasn’t missing anything. I brought up a concern that I had noted that Kathy just kept brushing off to me so he looked at her chart and found some of her Medications as a possible culprit. He wrote a Lower Dosage for her to take in the morning while continuing to take the Higher Dosage at night to hopefully balance it out.

We both received a Pneumonia Shot because we have both had it numerous times in our lives. However he could not give Kathy her Flu Shot because the Government decided that it could be distributed faster if it was sent to the Drug Stores rather then through the Doctor’s Offices. ???? He recommended we stop at Shoppers Drug Mart if we wanted the shot sooner then he could get it.

On our way to the nearest outlet we stopped at Wendy’s Drive Thru and had our usual lunch while watching traffic driving by in the Rain. Then the Rain just stopped. Looking at my watch it was noon the time shown on The Weather Network that the Rain would end.

We stopped at a couple of Shoppers Drug Mart stores and were told they were out of the Vaccines and we’d have to wait for it to come in. I did manage to pick up the Tylenol Tablets that we could not find last week. By getting them on a Thursday and using our Optimum Points Card to identifies us as Seniors and we saved 20% off the full price which meant we saved over Thirty Dollars today.

It wasn’t until we stopped at the smaller outlet close to our home they took Kathy’s Name and Phone Number explaining that depending how many doses arrived they would call starting at the top of their list.

Back at the Apartment we had a little time to relax so we got some Blog Reading done that we couldn’t get to this morning. As a way of saving time I only made a couple of Comments to get more reading accomplished.

We were out the door around 3:30 with Plans to make a couple of stops along the way. It wasn’t until we were nearly at Canadian Tire that I realized I had forgotten the Grey Spray Sealer back in the Truck. We continued to Green Shield where we dropped off Kathy’s Claim Form she got from Mary yesterday for her Foot Treatment.

We would have arrived too early for our 5:00 appointment so we stopped at Burger King and got Two Original Chicken Sandwiches for $6.00. We had our water to drink and we were satisfied with just the Sandwiches.

We still arrived at Fantastic Sams and Kathy was hesitant to let Julia know we were there figuring she needed a break. As soon as she saw us she waved Kathy in then later myself. We feel so much better with shorter hair and Julia is starting to get used to how we like it done.

We were back at the Apartment on time to watch the 6 o’clock Local News. We later watched President Trump’s Town Hall Meeting on NBC. Then to ABC where we watched the end of the Joe Biden Town Hall Meeting. Finally we tuned into CNN where their Fact Checker compared the facts between both. Next Thursday will be the Final Presidential Debate.

Just when I thought I could get things done at the Apartment it looks like we’ll have another busy day tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I've heard the flu shots are in high demand this year, for obvious reasons. I'm utterly shocked that the weatherman got it right ;)

  2. How weird your Doctor couldn't give you the shot. Here you can get it at the Doctor or at the pharmacy. Since they always made my mom very sick, I don't get any of them.

  4. If I go to the doctor I have to fork out $95.00 for the visit as I do not have health insurance plus the cost of the flu shot.

HEB Pharmacy lowered its price from $37.00 last year to $24.99. If I go to Mexico, I can get it for FREE but since the border is closed to non-essential travel I am hoping to get it next week at HEB...they have an ample supply...I do not even have to make an appointment.
