New Surgery Date, Taking Care Of Business and Doctor’s Pleas.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Last night after drinking a Sleepy-Time Tea and only taking the Melatonin Tablets I basically slept the same as the night before.

When I saw 8:00 on the Clock this morning I didn’t hesitate to start my day. I had not even gotten out of the bathroom when the phone started ringing. At 8:12 in the morning a Doctor’s Office calling to speak to Kathy. They definitely woke her up.

When the Coronavirus shut everything down in at the end of March we were notified that Kathy’s Surgery that was Planned for August would have to be rescheduled but they had no idea when. Today the Specialist’s Office was calling to schedule the new date. Heck all that before breakfast. Don’t they realize we’re Retired?

For lunch we had Chicken with Wild Rice Soup along with a Pecan Tart and Mixed Berries covered with Frozen Vanilla Yogurt for dessert.

Once lunch had settled I went out on the Balcony to replace the Outer AC Sleeve Cover which will keep us warmer through the winter. At 50 F (10 C) it was a little brisk but I wasn’t out there that long.

I started to exercise but we needed to take care of business so I stopped. Before we knew it was time to make supper.

Wanting something quick we had a Store Bought Thin Crust Hawaiian Pizza. It only took Fifteen Minutes in the oven and a Minute to serve along with a bottle of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine).

Watching the 6 o’clock Local News we have colder temperatures heading our way and only One new Coronavirus Case in our area. A number of Doctors in the Greater Toronto Area tried pleading with people to wear Masks as a way of stopping the spread of the Virus. They are saying that lots of times people don’t know they Carriers spreading it. Masks also protects you the wearer from getting sick. The Markets all took a hit today.

We’ll see what we do tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I take it that you won't go South this Winter. We have Canadian friends(we live in Oregon) and during the Winter, we have a place in Green Valley, Az where one street over is our good Canadian friends live. Those Canuks are friendly people! Any way, will you go South this Winter? Take care, R Stone

  3. I tried Sleepy-time tea but it did not work for me. You do not mention whether or not you are using your Cap machine (sorry do not recall the correct name) since on your other post you say you toss and turn, I imagine that would be hard to do while being hooked up to one.

It is 12:57 a.m. CST and your blog posted at 11:10 p.m. ET and it is still not showing up on my Reading List. I just decided to come down and check your blog out anyway as Blogger has managed to screw this up royally and I can no longer give them a piece of my mind.

I like your Kracker joke but I thought the answer would be different :-)

  4. Hope they can stick to the surgery schedule for Kathy so that is over with. Sure wish you guys were able to come south this year. Stay warm and safe.

  5. We are also fortunate in our areas, very few cases, never more than 7. Everywhere we go, we see masks. It is mandatory in shops to wear them so it must be people walking outside in TO that aren't wearing them? Or do stores not enforce it? Strange.

  6. The colors outside your balcony are gorgeous. Hopefully Kathy's new surgery date holds.

  7. I hope the surgery date isn't too far out. With shutdowns beginning now - France, Germany and UK that I've heard so far.... the future is unclear.
