Five Times, Errands, Visits and Another New Machine.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Five Times is how often my New CPAP Machine suddenly shut down and restarted last night. When it shuts down it leaves you gasping to breathe then when it restarts it hits you with a blast of air twice as hard as what the Machine was set to deliver. The last time it happened around 7:30 this morning I just got up to start my day.

I had barely turned on the Computers when Kathy came out to join me. I hadn’t even started making breakfast. With the Sun shining so brightly even before she sat down Kathy opened the Balcony Door. A second later she felt the cold air wafting in and closed it quickly. The Weather Network had again accurately forecasted that we would hit the Freezing Mark and we did.

I called Vital Air to explain what was happening with this New CPAP Machine. The only thing Taira could do was have me see one of the Techs. Luckily there had been a cancellation for this afternoon so I took it.

It was nearly 10:00 by the time we headed out to run some errands. Before leaving the building we checked this Mailbox to find some Coupons.

The way our Building and the One to the East are built they create a Funnel for the Wind. Even though we were wearing Jackets the breeze cut right through us until we reached the parking lot. For Kathy to complain about the chill it had to be cold.

Our first stop was Canadian Tire where they accepted the can of Clear (Grey) Spray Sealer and gave me a full refund. Due to her getting up so early Kathy had a Snap in the Truck while I was inside.

Monroe Michigan in the distance.

One of the reasons for taking the Truck was the Regen had run a number of time for short periods in the city this week. I hoped by giving it a good run so it would properly clean the Diesel Particulate Filter for another Two Hundred Miles. We barely left the parking lot when the Truck went into Regen. Next we took the Expressway to head across town before heading out to Amherstburg. Even with some Road Construction still remaining traffic still flowed at a steady rate. Looking at the changing colours also made for a pleasant distraction. We were almost to Amherstburg when the Regen finally stopped.

We soon arrived at the Pharma Choice drug store where we have our prescriptions filled. When we were Fulltiming and staying in McGregor they were not that far away. What they don’t do is gouge us with Dispensing Fees like the big pharmaceutical chains do and if the Doctor’s FAX did not come in and they knew it would they would release our Medications to us ahead of the delay. We’ll continue using them until we can no longer drive out there.

Our Family Doctor had changed one of Kathy’s Medications to a lower morning dosage so we needed it filled. Since outbreak of Coronavirus the Local Health Unit has dictated how many people can be in a business by it’s size. I dropped the Prescription off before sitting in the Truck with Kathy. I had been told a Ten Minute wait but Five Minutes later a bunch of people arrived so I simply got in line to get back in. I had barely got in the door when Kathy’s Medications were ready.

Our next stop was to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house. Since Melissa is working from home I didn’t knock on the door. I simply went back to where the Garden Shed we had at the RV Park was. Our daughter Karen needed to borrow my Tamper and that’s where I presumed it was. I couldn’t find it. Where the heck is it? Back at the Truck I told Kathy that it must be in our Storage Unit but I didn’t remember seeing it there.

It was past noon so we stopped at the new Wendy’s Drive Thru where we ordered our usual lunch. Unfortunately the parking lot is also part of the Sobey’s grocery store parking lot so I backed in along the outer edge so we could enjoy our meal. As we were eating a pickup backed in to the spot right next to us and Kathy started to get worried as to who it could be. Then the driver’s window went down to reveal our son Kevin. When told about the Tamper he said I had loaned it to him earlier last year so it was in his shed. He need a few groceries so we finished eating then met him at his house.

We visited for a few minutes while he showed us the progress that he has made on his Street Rod.

We again took the Expressway back across Windsor ending up in Tecumseh at our daughter Karen’s house. While I dropped off the Tamper Kathy gave Sanford a couple of Treats. He rewarded her with a big sloppy Kiss. Karen took a break from her job (working at home) to show us what she plans on doing with the flowerbed and why she needed the Tamper. We even remembered to take the Rhubarb she had gotten for us.

We again took the Expressway back to Vital Air. I met with Ron and even though the Printout from my Machine showed when I had gotten up during the night it did not show the Machine restarting. The fact that it was only Twenty-Three Days Old and doing what I said was concerning to him. He simply replaced it with another New Machine.

This guy raises Dragons.

Remember the Coupons we got this morning. We stopped at A&W and splurged on a couple of Chubby Chicken Sandwich Meals. It has been a while that we’ve eaten that large a meal and we were feeling stuffed.

A bit early.

Back at the Apartment I was having trouble staying awake while reading Blogs that were missed this morning. We watched the 6 o’clock Local News before spending the evening on our Computers. I think we’ll sleep well tonight. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

I had a neck brace fitted years ago.

I haven’t looked back since.

  1. You guys sure do stay busy! I hope this new machine works out for you.

I have to admit I had to Google "tamper" as I had never heard of one before. I love those beautiful colors created by the changing of the leaves.

    Stay warm tonight!

  3. Leonard has been on CPAP for about 2 years. Never once has it shut off during the night. I can't imagine how aggravating it must be to you.

  4. Talk about "serendipity" with Kevin being right there and knowing about the tamper. Ha. Sounds like a long day. Hope the new machine works as it should! And yes, lovely tree photos, especially for those of us who don't live around many of those beautiful autumn trees in the north.
