Missed Pictures.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

After another cool night for our area we again slept past 8:00 this morning. Even though the temperature itself was the same as yesterday at 48 F (9 C) since there were no heavy winds it actually felt much warmer. Once breakfast was over we both took some time to check our E-mails. While Kathy did further research I got cleaned up for my afternoon appointment.
By 10:30 we were already rolling out the front gate with our list of errands that we needed to take care of today. For the errands we wanted to run we drove across North Malden Road until we could take County Road 15 over to Manning Road. The reasoning for that was to start our errands at the east end of Windsor and work our way back towards Walker Road.
Our first stop was at Princess Auto where I’d seen a small sized piece of light gauged sheet metal the other day. Unfortunately, that was a surplus piece that was now sold out and I didn’t need a quarter sheet of the heavier material.
We like to try different things even at the fast food places and some of them have started trying to compete with Wendy’s so today we stopped in to try the salads at McDonalds. We both had different salads and even though they were very good we still prefer the Wendy’s salads.
Our next stop was Guardian Storage first to collect our mail and then going to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. We made this our second stop because I would not be lifting anything heavy this afternoon. We were not only shopping for supplies today that we had stored but we were also exchanging things which involved lifting a few heavier bins. We left a number of extra linens behind in the bins as well as our heavy winter bedcover but brought the old lite weight bedcover back home for the summer.
Since we still had time before my appointment we made a quick stop at the Credit Union to do some banking. Now I prefer going to the tellers but there was a line-up that would have taken an hour to get through so I used the ATM.
Even with the heavy traffic on Tecumseh Road we still made it to the Canadian Blood Services building on Grand Marais Road with time to spare. Kathy had forgotten to bring some reading material but she found plenty of magazines and papers to read. I was there for Blood Donor 101. I was actually there to use my new Blood Donor Card for the first time making my 101st blood donation but I was happy to see the place was packed. Many of these people were there for their first time but there was a gentleman ahead of me making his 201st donation. I take pride in the fact I am giving someone ill or injured that is in need of blood the Gift of Life as I’m certain that gentleman is as well. I was able to pass on some tricks to some of these beginners in hopes of making them into regular donors as well.
It was nearly 3:00 by the time Kathy and I were on the road to our next stop which was Cross Canada auto supplies on Walker Road. If your auto needs a new body panel that’s where you go. If you can’t exactly match the paint colour on your vehicle that’s where you go. They supply parts for the car dealerships. Since I still needed a piece of sheet metal that’s where I went. After a bit of a wait we found out they had a half a sheet of material costing less than Princess Auto for a smaller piece. He even carried it to the truck because of the sharp edges.
We made a quick stop at the Dollar Store before heading for Home. As we drove through the gate at Wildwood Golf and RV Park I spotted a couple of Sandhill Cranes in the first of the golf course lakes. When I took their picture the camera showed the message “Unable to save. No SD Card.” When I said that to Kathy her statement was “You mean all those pictures I took are gone?” Not a good day for pictures.
For supper we cleaned up a lot of leftovers from the fridge. Leftover Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. Leftover Strawberries and Yogurt. No twisting my arm! Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. If you are like me, the SD card is still in the computer from the last time you downloaded photos.

  2. Why not have a second SD card so when you take one out you can immediately put the other in?
