Visited and Visiting.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Due to the forecasted low temperature of 48 F (9 C) over night we simply closed the windows but slept with no heat turned on. Living in an RV that has slides is nearly the same as having a window open anyway. Even Kathy who normally sleeps on top of the covers kept herself undercover appreciating the warmth they had to offer. Again we managed to sleep in and with the inside temperature being cooler than the outside would have preferred to have slept longer. We knew that we had things we hoped to do but this below seasonal weather was making us slow off the starting line.
Since I tend to read slower than Kathy she was dressed and started wrapping the last of the Early Christmas Gifts we had in the trailer. I was even being lazy still lounging when just after 11:00 we got a call from our friend Gerry. He and Sandy had been to Windsor and decided on having lunch out at the 19th Hole Restaurant. They were wondering if Kathy and I would like to join them. With our plans being written in Jello it was a no brainer “Sure!” When asked where they were the answer was in the parking lot.
It took us about fifteen minutes to get there but we made up for lost time. I was the only one drinking coffee in an effort to warm myself up due to the Raynaud’s Disease. Even these cooler than normal temperatures make me the iceberg in the room. We still had plenty to talk about while we enjoyed our sandwiches and salads (in my case soup). By the time we’d finished eating the place was starting to fill so we all headed back to our trailer.
We sat outside in the sunshine for a short while but it was still too chilly even for our guests so we moved into the rear bedroom/office/den where we continued our visit. Kathy also made coffee and tea that helped to finish taking the chill from our bones. All too soon Gerry and Sandy said their so longs and headed off to their home.
I did a few outside chores as the temp was finally around 68 F (20 C) around 3:00 raking up twigs and making adjustments to the Tandem Bike. Kathy finished the wrapping she’d started this morning before she called me in for supper. Even though we’d eaten sensibly for lunch Kathy made certain this was a well-balanced meal of chicken, Greek style pasta, fruit covered salad and strawberries on yogurt for a dessert.
Once the dishes were washed and put away we were the ones on the move. With this being Wednesday evening we were headed to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa. Last week Melissa had to work overtime so we had a lot of catching up to do. They finally found out when Matthew will be having his Grade 8 Graduation so we made plans to attend. It only seems like yesterday when he was born but he is definitely not the little guy he was then. The rest of the night was filled discussing some life issues but mostly things that brought smiles and laughter to everyone’s faces. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Politics is the art of looking for trouble,

finding it, misdiagnosing it

and then applying the wrong remedies.
