Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
We managed to sleep soundly with the
windows open last night but by 8:00 this morning it was already feeling like it
was 84 F (29 C) outside. As soon as we’d finished eating breakfast the Air Conditioner was turned on and the
windows were closed. Depending on whether you looked to the internet or at The Weather Network on the television they both indicated afternoon rain showers
but at different times.
Not wasting any time instead of doing my
morning reading I headed outside to water the new grass seed that I’ve applied
to our site. We’ve had the promise of rain in the past that didn’t materialize
so there was no taking chances. That resulted in a usage of a least fifteen
minutes before I climbed to the roof of the trailer to reinstall the Max-Air roof vents. With the A.C. running all the vents were in the
closed position which made the job of refastening the brackets to the vents that
much easier. The white roof looked so nice not having any discolouration from
age spots nor the noticeable trail left by the water discharge from the Air
Conditioner.
I’d spent less than an hour on the roof
which included using fresh Dicor self-leveling
sealer over the screws but my bottle of water was already empty. There had
been a steady breeze that had been blowing which helped to make the heat feel
less oppressive. When Kathy came out for a short visit but only stayed about ten
minutes due to her medical issues. A quick check of The Weather
Network
showed a Humidex of 106 F (41 C) at that time.
The sky remained overcast the entire day
but just before we sat down for supper the skies opened up with a downpour that
definitely helped the area farmers and their crops. It was a good thing the
vent covers had been replaced because the rain would have damaged the vents
themselves. Tomorrow the temperatures will once again feel above the Century Mark but we are sure we’ll find
plenty to keep us busy. Thanks for following
along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Krackers
I wish the buck stopped here.
I could sure use a few.
