Changes.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night going to bed shortly after the 11 o’clock local news it seemed that my vertigo problem was on the mend. This morning when I got out of bed just after 7:00 the room started spinning again like it had the second day of this bout. It’s like I took an unwanted step back in time making it difficult to bend over, move my eyes sideways or turn my body quickly as we all do when doing everyday things we normally do. Kathy is definitely fighting something as she slept until after 8:00 this morning.
After enjoying our breakfast Kathy went to do her morning reading on the computer while I dressed and readied myself to do the laundry. Just by doing the sorting I knew I had to find another way to accomplish this task to minimize movements that would bring on a change of balance.
Down at the laundry room I was fortunate to walk into an empty room. The reason I liked this was because the building corporation had changed the pay card system so I took my time to learn it and get my wash started. I went up to the apartment to get my watch that I’d forgotten earlier only to find out the battery had died. Guestimating my return I still had five minutes to go before my wash cycles ended. I spent that time showing some of the more senior tenants in the building how to use the new system.
After getting the clothes in the dryers I collected our mail before returning to the apartment. I took the time to do my morning computer reading until Kathy called me for an early lunch. We had more of the homemade chili she made the other day. Not only did it help warm us up from the cold snowy weather outside but it tasted even better than it did the last time we had some.
Back downstairs to fold the clean clothes I had to empty the dryers in bulk to minimize the bending over. I normally will leave the clothes in the dryers to keep them warm until I fold them individually. Again I had to demonstrate how to use the new pay card system to more of the tenants that just couldn’t understand how to use it.
Back at the apartment Kathy had finished dusting and vacuuming by the time I returned. Like I said earlier she is fighting something which really wears her down so she needed a Snap (short nap) to get her energy back.
We left home around 4:00 so we could stop at the watch repair center so I could get a new battery for my watch. Since the white stuff started falling heavier we needed to drive more defensively allowing for those that think they can drive like they do in the summer months. We used a coupon at A&W to have supper at a discounted price before heading for Amherstburg.
We drove to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s for our weekly visit. Even though there was nowhere near the s@#w fall that the Buffalo, New York area got there was still drifting along the roads. We had our usual enjoyable visit with them talking about our change of plans, the kids at school and the way we are all feeling right now. I’m hoping I feel much better for next week because I promised Kevin I’d clean his eaves troughs on their house next Wednesday.
Even Boots likes laying in the sun.
We are looking forward to the weekend not only for the special things that will be taking place but the weather is supposed to warm up to near normal temperatures. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
