Still Adjusting and Errands.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy and I both managed to have a good night’s sleep as a way of recovering from the time change back to EST from the EDST. I was awake before 7:00 this morning and it was only moments later that Kathy followed me into the dining room. As we sat eating breakfast the Weather Channel forecasted warmer temperatures and sunny skies for today. After spending what time we needed to do our morning reading on the computers we decided to get an early start on the errands that we needed to get done.

Our first stop was at the trailer in the storage yard. After I had completed making the water/storage cart for the trailer the only thing I wanted to do was to clean up the livingroom and once again make it our home. In my haste I inadvertently packed away a few tools that would be needed in another project that has to be finished before our departure south in the next 53 days. Also in an attempt to organize the basement of the trailer I packed everything in clear plastic containers. The big problem was that the container I needed to find was in the middle of the basement. By the time I had found what I wanted I also knew that this morning’s weather forecast had not taken the cool wind into consideration when they said it would be warmer.

Our next stop was the gas station where I topped off the gas in the car. It was now over four hours since we’d had breakfast so we stopped at Tim Horton’s where we shared one of their Steak Panini sandwiches. The coffees we had helped to take some of the chill from my bones. Another stop was made at the Credit Union where we picked up an American money order to secure our reservations for the change to our travel plans for next April.

Driving further into the plaza we stopped at the dollar store to find a few last minute things we’ll need for our trip. Crossing the road we went to Staples to purchase fresh HP printer cartridges for Kathy’s printer. It seems that the newer HP printers have a way of telling if a cartridge has been refilled in their programming and will not let it work. We were also able to mail the money order that we had just purchased right outside Staples door.

Our last stop was Walmart where I found a new hoodie to replace the lightweight one I have at home that is too light for the cold temperatures we are presently getting. We also found a few groceries that we had run out of at home that we didn’t want to pilfer from the supplies slated to go south this winter.

Back at the apartment once everything was put away I installed the new printer cartridge and the printer worked just fine. I’ll be returning the refilled cartridges tomorrow. Next I fired up the Weber where I grilled a steak and a Zucchini that Kathy and I shared along with a macaroni and cheese dish she had made as a side that finished supper nicely. Of course by the time we finished eating it was once again dark outside. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

For a lot of people, the weekly paycheck is "take-home" pay because home is the only place they can afford to go with it.

  1. Here is Australia, we have just started Daylight Saving. I quite enjoy the longer hours but more than that I appreciate the little extra darkness in the morning which allows me to trick my body into sleeping longer since I wake up with the sun! PS Thanks for your many comments and encouragement on my blog (Robbiebago)
