Relaxing, Fixing an Oops and Visiting.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We all have problems whether they are real or imaginary that come back to play with our minds at the time that they should be at rest. It was actually a combination of both that caused me to have a restless night. The first was a problem that Kathy and I had already resolved days ago and the second was something we had seen on a murder mystery that we had watched again the other day.

Finally my back told me it was time to get up just before 7:00 this morning. Due to the number of back injuries I sustained through my working career if I am not sleeping soundly it is not possible for me to just lay around and remain comfortable.

After opening the curtains in the other rooms and waiting for the sun to break through the cloud covering I finally started channel surfing on the television. One of our favorite murder mystery series was running a marathon of back to back episodes. When Kathy finally got up just after 8:00 that was where she found me. Since anything business wise that we needed to do before we leave would have to wait until Monday morning we declared this a morning of relaxation.
Sanford wanting to go play outside.
Just as we were about to start making lunch we received a call from our daughter Karen inviting us over for supper. Since the start of Tyler’s hockey season we haven’t been having our usual weekly visits so this worked out great because there was no hockey game today.

While I was working on the computer later in the afternoon Kathy noticed that I had made a mistake on one of the calendar pages that I had made for her. So after making the necessary corrections I reprinted the new pages, disassembled the calendars and reassembled them with the corrected pages.

Karen had made up a tasty meatloaf that was nicely seasoned but without the traditional ketchup topping. She also had mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes and peas for sides. Kathy had made a nice Key Lime Pie that was served for dessert. We had a chance to visit with Kylla and Noah as well as Karen, Greg and Tyler.

Since next Sunday will be busy due to Tyler’s Confirmation we gave him his gift today. We broke from the traditional gift that most kids would throw on the shelf and would become forgotten under a layer of dust. Since he appreciated the desk and chair we gave him for his birthday we added a nice desk lamp with an LED bulb that not only lights up his desk but his entire room. Tyler and I had it installed before Kathy and I left for home.

We should be waking up to an inch of that white stuff on the ground in the morning so we’ll be looking at doing things at home in order to get ready for our departure in 39 days. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
