After celebrating Christmas with Family for Two Days, we were really feeling worn out. We were so wore out that we overslept this morning, and when we woke up practically hit the floor running. Hobbling in my case.
Having brought home plenty of Leftovers we started the day having a bowl of Homemade Fruit Salad and a Pastry for breakfast along with Coffee at the Computers. Though the outside temperatures were above normal for this time of year, the on and off showers kept us in.
We noticed a City Truck slowly making its way up the street behind our building. Both the driver and passenger got out and walked in our direction, while using Electronic Equipment similar to Metal Detectors. People in this area take great pride in caring for their lawns. Those City workers stopped in one lawn that attracted the attention of the Homeowner. The next thing you see is a Backhoe, Dump-Truck and a Truck-Vac coming up the street. For the next Four Hours they destroyed that beautiful lawn to repair a Water Main Leak.
We had Soup and shared a Grilled Cheese Sandwich for a late lunch.
The
young man that I had been training to take my place, Sorough
called wanting my opinion. He was told he would be off until the New
Year,
but Mile called wanting him in for some welding today. He was in
Dearborn,
Michigan
at the time, so told him he would be there tomorrow. Since he doesn’t
have his Ninety
Days
in yet, he was worried Mile could fire him. I
calmed him down and assured him he could handle the job. Glad it’s
not me.
Supper was more Leftovers while we watched the 6 o’clock Local News.
I think we had better get moving tomorrow or we’ll be cemented to our chairs.

Why did the chicken get a penalty?
For fowl play!
It's a testament to you that Sorough feels comfortable calling for your advice.
ReplyDeleteThose poor people whose lawn got torn up! You'll have to continue to keep us posted on how Sorough is doing.
