Useful Comments, No Rent Increase and Christmas In July.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Again I was up before 8:00 this morning while Kathy took a few minutes extra to join me. Even though the outside temperatures were much closer to seasonal we made no Plans as a way of not disappointing ourselves later in the day.

Some of the Comments on last night’s Blog gave us ideas on how we can stop receiving calls from Scammers that are trying to cheat anyone they can. One thing that was suggested was not answering calls with numbers outside of our area. The technology these Scammers use is illegal but they can Highjack people’s personal numbers so if they are reported their actual location is nearly impossible to detect.
Lunch today was another modified Caesars Salad that had chopped Celery, Ham, Onions and Peppers along with Shredded Mozzarella Cheese added. Kathy also made up our dessert plate of Oranges, Cookies and Yogurt Cups along with our Cranberry Tea.

We spent most of the afternoon researching some things in the Ontario Landlord Tenants Act. Most Landlords today require you to pay the First and Last Months Rent upfront. Since the Last Month of rent is collecting Interest for the Landlord by law they are supposed to return that money however they are then able to raise our rent at the end of our lease.

We received a letter from Ana our Building Manager stating that if we would pass on the interest money our rent would not be raised for at least the next Two Years. Kathy spent time with the Calculator figuring things out and it is to our advantage to leave them keep the Interest Money.
We were still fairly satisfied from lunch by 7:00 so Kathy made us each a Pancake for our supper. The only difference was she added Chocolate Chips to hers.

There were plenty of Storm Clouds that rolled through our area today as we ate but we heard of no Rain in the area. Yesterday’s heavy Rain storms were much appreciated by local Farmers saying it saved their crops.

Since our 6 o’clock Local News was again preempted by a Golf Tournament we watched more Christmas in July Hallmark Movies before watching the 11 o’clock Local News from London. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
Krackers

I’m terrified of elevators.

I’m taking steps to avoid them.

  1. Your modified Ceasar's salad looks so delicious!

Nice to hear it worked to your benefit to let them keep the interest in the first and last month's rent avoiding a rent increase for two years.

Glad the rains were beneficial to the farmers.

  2. Ummm pancakes!! I've never heard of having to return interest on a deposit. Nice they are not upping your rent.
