Even
after getting to bed early and sleeping like a couple of rocks last
night we both slept past 8:30 this morning. After opening the Balcony
Blinds all that was needed to know how warm it was outside was to
hold our hands by the Glass Door. Even with the AC
cooling the inside air you could still feel the heat coming through.
When
our activity levels are low we try to have our meals reflect that.
For breakfast we simply had a Muffin before heading to
the Computers with our Coffees.
Around
11:00 we received a call from Kathy’s Nose
Specialist Office. Last September he had diagnosed a
problem Kathy was having and had scheduled her for surgery this
August to correct it. With the Virus
Shutdown everything was put on hold but Kathy is having a
harder time to breathe through her nose. A few weeks ago I left a
message at their Office asking
they call back. They explained they have to work with the Hospital
but will get back to us with a new appointment date when they get
one.
Since
Kathy pulled a fast one on me yesterday by not allowing me to help
make lunch or supper I insisted that today she had to sit back. Of
course even while I was getting things ready she kept looking in to
see about helping. She didn’t like sitting back so now she knows
how I felt. Lunch was Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwiches along
with a dessert plate of Fruit, Pastry as well as a
Pudding. We took our Cranberry Tea over to the
Computers to finish drinking it.
We’d
barely sat down when the phone rang again. This time it was for me
setting up a follow up appointment to review the findings of my
Endoscopy. Since I already know the findings I wasn’t too
concerned. I realized that since the Virus
Shutdown a lot of procedures and consultations had to be
rescheduled it is simply the Specialist’s way of charging

one more time for the next Five Years.
See the Feel Likes for the next week. |
We
continued working on the Computers knowing that sooner or
later we will have to go out as it continues to be Hot.
The forecast for the next week is not too inviting for Kathy but
maybe she might sneak out during a cooler morning.
I
again chose to cook supper wanting to use up an Acorn Squash we’ve
had in the Fridge for a while. When I went to cut it in half trying
Two of our sharpest Knives they barely marked the skin.
It was extremely cold as well as other food in the Fridge so I
just figured it was nearly frozen and left it to thaw. I cooked a
couple of Angus Burgers and manage to serve them with our Very
Berry Tea. Again Kathy was pacing the floor trying to help.
We
watched the 6 o’clock Local News
before I was finally able to cut through the Squash. Fifteen
Minutes later we were able to enjoy it like a Snack. We
worked together to clean up the Dishes.
With
little else of interest on the only thing we watched was coverage on
the resurgence of the Coronavirus
in many of the US States. Even
though it still seems to attack the Seniors and those with
Poor Immune Systems it has
claimed much younger victims with an Eleven Year Old in
Florida being the youngest just
today.
As
many of us have stated before we would never have believed we would
live through something like this and can only stay
Safe and
Pray
they get a handle on this soon. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!

Grilled bacon and cheese sandwiches sound yummy! The humidity is unfortunate for Kathy, however a huge part of Ontario summers, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteStay as cool as possible and stay safe!
I feel for Kathy. I've had trouble breathing through my nose ever since I got smashed in the head with a tetherball! LOL I hope she's able to get it fixed up soon.
ReplyDeleteThe 11 year old who died in Florida had been declared a "medical foster child" when he was 18months..at this point he was getting dialysis 3 times a week for kidney failure..lots of underlying medical conditions..the news only tells you enough to scare you. Just info for you. Your summers are just way too hot and humid :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that Kathy gets in sooner. that later. Most uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteWe will be down in that heat next week visiting our son and his family. Not that it has been much cooler up here. I hope they are able to schedule Kathy soon so she can breath easier.
