Puzzling Question, Morning Visit, Severe Storm and Staying Dry.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Why this is happening is anyone’s guess and we have racked our brains trying to figure it out. When Kathy goes to bed she falls into a Semi-Sleep mode for a while before finally falling into a Deep Sleep that still leaves her feeling tired when she wakes in the morning. When I go to bed I fall directly to sleep most times only waking momentarily to roll over. There are the odd times where after an Hour of sleep I’ll wake for no reason at all and stay that way for Hours before sleep takes over again. Being that we both have Sleep Apnea leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

Waiting until after 8:00 to start my day I started by opening the Balcony Blinds and was greeted a threatening sky. Starting the Computers I then got things readied for breakfast before checking The Weather Network. It showed that we could expect some wet weather after lunch.
More Rain.
Kathy was up soon after and we discussed what we had wanted to do with our day. (Notice I didn’t say Planned.) After finishing our Muffins for breakfast as we looked towards the parking lot there was evidence of a light Rain falling.

Checking the important things gave us just enough time to drink our Coffee/Tea before getting ready to head out the door. By the time we walked out the rear entrance things were drying up. It wasn’t until we were on the road we realized we forgot the Camera which would lead to the loss of important pictures.

We headed to our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh for a visit. Heading to the back yard we saw that they are making adjustments to their Deck. Having relocated their Gazebo to the upper level that’s where we sat. When Tyler heard we were there he came out for a short visit before heading back to his room to study. He is enrolled in a Heating and Cooling Apprenticeship and has been attending classes in a proper training facility.

Sanford made certain to get his Deep Tissue Massage in as I have the ability to give him while we spent time visiting with Karen. We discussed a number of things including the return of Students to the Classrooms. It’s important to her because she works to help University Of Windsor Graduates to find jobs in their prospective fields. Even though these students are academically smart when they have time to relax they don’t protect themselves or others from anything that is going around.

We had only been there a Half Hour when there was a Two Minute Rainfall. Ten Minutes later another Minute of Rain. We figured that was a sign so after Ninety Minutes of visiting it was time to say good bye. Karen gave us more Rhubarb and Homemade Muffins before we left.

It was nearly 1:00 when we headed back to Windsor. There seemed to be a storm gathering to our North as we drove on. Breakfast was long digested so we thought we would get lunch out.

With Coupons in hand we were planning on going to go to Taco Bell for lunch but when we saw a line of cars out to the street we went next door to Arby’s. (We didn’t need those Fries anyways.) We again ordered their Greek Gyros and sat in their parking lot to enjoy them. I parked facing the Road thinking we could watch the traffic go by as we ate. Instead we watched a Lightning Show in the direction of our Apartment Building where our Camera was.
The Rain can be seen approaching.
As we were heading home the sky started to look even more threatening so I dropped Kathy at the Front Entrance to our building before going to park the Car. Walking in from the parking lot I managed to stay totally dry but by the time I reached the Apartment we could see a wall of moisture heading in our direction. Two Minutes later our Power flickered off for less then Five Seconds but it was enough to affect our Internet Connection, turn off our Tower Fan and turn on our CPAP Machines. Another minute later we could barely see outside from a Strong Wind driving the intense Rain against the Windows.
2:45 in the afternoon.
We spent the rest of the afternoon getting caught up on our morning reading. The 6 o’clock Local News was again preempted. On-Line we started seeing reported Storm Damage across Southern Ontario with some being quite serious.

Around 7:00 Kathy made us each a Mixed Berry Waffle Ice Cream dessert for our supper then  added the Homemade Muffins that Karen gave us. We watched the season finale of the Good Witch at 9:00 then the 11 o’clock Local News from London. There were Protesters in London against having to wear Masks to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Even though the Medical Experts say Masks only stop the wearer from spreading the Virus but I disagree. Having worn Masks and Respirators throughout my career they saved me from getting sick many times. The Coworkers that criticized me for doing so are no longer among us. “Masks Help!

We’ll be doing something tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. It sure is nice to visit family and be able to walk away with some delicious homemade treats.

Since my camera died a couple of years ago, I depend on my cellphone with whom I do not have a good relationship (I hate cell phones). More often than not, I forget to take it with me and have missed out on several photo opportunities.

I am truly envious of your rain :-(

  3. Sounds like a nice visit with Karen and Sanford..LOL. I'm sure he looks forward to your massage :) Good for Tyler, that will definitely be a good career for him! You do get your share of rain and hot temps!

  4. Since you asked for guesses affecting Kathy's sleep pattern or the lack thereof, she might consider if it could have anything to do with certain food intakes for supper and until bedtime. Just saying. You guys are always finding things to do and to keep you occupied even when the weather is not cooperative. I also do believe that wearing masks in public will be beneficial.

  5. Is that SPAM up there before me????

We had a quick power outage last night too. Meant the Directv had to reset itself. But didn't affect Lens CPAP. (That I know of)
