Due to
the forecasted weather for our area today we weren’t in a big hurry to go
anywhere. I even let Kathy sleep in and it was a good thing because she’d had a
restless night’s sleep.
Once
she did wake up the first thing she did was to tell me to call J.T. at Leisure Trailer Sales about our Trailer. He claimed to have just gotten off the phone with his
contacts at Jayco and they assured him they had added
more people on it to be certain it was completed sooner. When he asked when the
Trailer would be back to him they
told him the 20th of this
month or sooner. When I told him that we write a daily Blog and readers that had considered buying a Jayco were waiting to see how our repairs went. His response was “Yeah I could tell them that”. It was
like he didn’t believe what I was saying. I then said “No, we really do write a Blog and Jayco’s name is being mentioned
along with the issues”. Again, his response was “Yeah I could tell them that”. I really think he thought that I was just yanking
his chain.
As
soon as I was off the phone I informed Kathy what he told me but when she went
to mark it on her calendar. The 20th
of May is the Sunday on our First
Long Weekend of the year. When I called J.T. back he said “I knew that” but said he would be
there on the Sunday just so we could get our Trailer back. Now I really don’t believe him but we just want our Home back.
Tyler
had an appointment with Drivers
Education today so he didn’t have to go in to his Co-op Training Shop. When the Instructor arrived, they sat in the driveway while they went over
the functions of the Car they were
about to use. One of the Weather Issues
for our area today was High Winds
with gusts up to 70 MPH. As Tyler
and the Instructor were sitting there
one of those Gusts hit hard enough
that our Tonneau Cover on the Truck slammed into the back of the Cab. Tyler came in to tell me so I was
able to secure it from any further damage. Thank You Tyler!
We hate
wasting Food because it’s like
throwing our money away and since we are presently using Boxes as a Pantry along with small areas in Two Fridges and Two Freezers for our other food. To say it can be a bit of a chore just knowing where everything is would be an
understatement. When I mentioned my concern about the Vegetables needing to be used Kathy immediately knew what to do
with it. While she cleaned up the Vegies
and started sautéing them I defrosted a couple of small Steaks and started cubing them before
putting them with the Vegies. We
cooked up an Egg Noodle Side Dish and
added the Steak with Vegies to it. It
all tasted great.
One thing that happens often whenever we mention these kinds
of meals is the request for Recipes.
Kathy doesn’t use a recipe and just adds whatever is in the Fridge and seasons accordingly. She learned to cook like that from her Grandmother and there are some Chefs that cook exactly the same way.
With
a great looking day forecasted for tomorrow we made plans on what we can continue
to do to our Site at Wildwood Golf and RV Park while the Trailer is not there. There are Flagstones that were all uneven behind our Trailer that need leveling and we have a couple of the Golden Cedars that didn’t make it this
winter along with the Hostas that
the Rabbits ate that will all have
to be replaced.
Around
4:00 we were starting to feel closed in so we headed over to Walmart to walk around and finally pick up a few groceries. When that
was over we went to Wendy’s where we enjoyed their Full-Sized Salads for a meal.
It
was still early so we stopped at Canadian Tire to see what kind of Plants they had. We found the perfect sized Cedars and they were “On
Sale” but no Hostas so we got
those along with the Plant Food for
them. That was when we realized they wouldn’t fit in the Car. Kathy stayed by the Garden
Center while I went back to Karen’s put the Refrigerated Food away and returned with the truck.
The Local News was showing Extensive Wind Damage in Windsor that
also cause many to be without Electric
Power. We are not planning on sleeping late in the morning so we can
hopefully scratch a few of our chores off our list. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Q: What is
a centrifuge?
A: A place
where 100 people hide.
J.T. doesn't have to believe you, our blogs are a tool to rave negatively or praise about particular services we get done on our rigs. You do have a lot of followers and I sure hope for Jayco's sake that it works out well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, we sincerely hope you get positive results this time.
Kathy is like my friend Patty. She just dumps a bunch of stuff in a bowl, seasons it up and bakes it. Always comes out yummy. When I do that it ends up in the cemetery!!
ReplyDeleteSure hope when you get your trailer back you will be completely satisfied with it.
ReplyDeleteAnother RV salesman out of touch with the RV world - doesn't really surprise me! Hopefully the trailer repair goes well and is completed on time!
ReplyDeleteWow - you have a lot of blogs that you follow! I wasn't seeing mine on your list, and I thought you had dropped us, but then I noticed "see all" at the bottom of the list . . . and man, there are a lot of blogs there! I'm going to have to start following some more blogs! Hope you get all settled back in your home before summer officially begins!
