Kathy’s Appointment Goes Well, Jayco Called Our Dealer, Rotten Weather Day and Eating At The Penalty Box.

After spending some time on the Computer this morning, I thought that it was time for Kathy to wake up. I know she could have slept longer but she had a Doctor’s Appointment this morning. Poor Sanford knew that he was going to be alone again as soon as we brought our Coats and Bags upstairs.

You did see that word Coat. A Parka would have been a better fit because the Cold North Wind was making the 43 F (6 C) feel closer to the freezing mark.

While we were headed to Windsor, J.T. called saying his contact at Jayco called this morning to assure him that Work on our Trailer was going well and we should have it next week. Sounds like the same thing the Secretary said the other day when asked.

We made it to Kathy’s Doctor’s Office in Windsor with minutes to spare which was quite surprising since we had a number of Sunday Drivers crawling along at half the speed limit for no particular reason. After a close examination the Doctor said Kathy’s face was showing a great improvement from a rash that a Previous Prescription Medication she had been using suddenly developed an allergy to.
In a busy city these parents were taking the family for a walk.
With a forecast for possible Showers closer to suppertime we stopped at Subway and picked up a Sandwich to take out to the Park while continuing to work on the Flagstone.
Dad was heading for the road until a passing car Scared him back.
We also stopped at Home Depot and Canadian Tire for Pea Gravel to fill between the Flagstones with, then we went Blooming Gardener in search of two more smaller pieces of Flagstone. Surprisingly they didn’t have any but when asked they recommended a couple of places not far from Karen’s house on Manning Road.

The Rain started coming down hard by the time we reached first place we were told to check. We had brought our Raincoats which also helped to block the Wind. Kathy stayed in the Truck while I went in search of someone to help me. I was told “The guy that takes care of that isn’t here right now so you’ll have to come back later.” Not with that attitude!

Arriving at Marvin Orr’s I was immediately assisted to carefully find pieces in just the right shapes. Their sales are made by the pound unlike the other place that sold them at individual prices. My total cost was $3.75.

With so much Rain falling, the Cold Temperatures, thinking about working in the Mud and the fact we were so close to Karen’s we decided on going to Karen’s where we had our lunch. Sanford was so happy to see us early in the day he didn’t want to leave our sides. The Rain only got stronger and with another thing to take care of before 3:00 we went downstairs to get caught up on our Computer Reading instead of going to the Park.

One of the Commenters thought that Their Blog had been removed from our Sidebar. Due to the extensive number of Blogs We Follow the List is set to show only the Twenty-Five Blogs that posted the most recent but the rest of the Blogs are accessed by simply touching the words “Show More”. If the Blogs we follow were not set up that way, on some Computers our Blog would take too long to open. Another thing is that once you are on our Readers List it is doubtful that you will ever be taken off.

Just before 3:00 we picked Tyler up at his Co-op Training Shop brought him Home to shower then brought him to his After School Part-Time Job at the Penalty Box Restaurant on Walker Road. I stopped close to the Employee Entrance because it was Raining so hard. With a Thanks for the ride Tyler was gone in a flash.

It’s been about Twenty Years since Kathy and I had eaten at the Penalty Box because we were never close by to do so and this was a Sports Bar long before others existed. With Tyler not knowing we were there we went inside and had supper. The Food was great though it did take a while to arrive because there was a steady stream of Pickup Orders being brought out. The phone was constantly ringing with Three People taking the Orders.

Our next stop was the Motor City Credit Union to do some banking.

Afterwards we went to Guardian Storage to first pick up our Mail then we went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit to get some Dress-up Clothes for a Mother’s Day Brunch we’ll be attending on Sunday.

We finally headed to the Zehrs grocery store on Manning Road to get a few supplies. It was just after 7:00 when we got back to Karen’s House. We are still hoping to get back to our Site to finish the Flagstone before we get there with the Trailer. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Sounds like a nice day, and nice that you ate where your grandson works. Good news on the trailer, hoping they follow through and you don't have to go through this again!
