While
trying to post our Blog last night I
somehow nodded off for a few minutes in my chair. I had been trying to just get
into Blogger for over Fifteen Minutes with No Luck. When I did wake the Blogger Post Page was open and my Document uploaded easily, so easy that I
was able to add Pictures as well.
Sometime
through the night the Rain finally
stopped but we still slept like a couple of rocks. I looked at the clock and it
wasn’t quite 6:00 but my eyes blinked and it was then after 8:00. (Note: Have to stop blinking my eyes.) It
didn’t take long to get breakfast ready and the Window Shades up. Even before Kathy walked into the living area I
had already tried to leave a comment on a couple of Blogs with No Luck. We’ve got problems!
That
meant we would have to drive all the way to Walker Road to get to Windsor. We had talked earlier about
getting a Thank You Gift so we
headed to Remark Farms specialty grocery stores on Howard Avenue where we were able to get a beautiful Fruit Basket that also contained other Specialty Snacks as well. One thing we already knew is that they
don’t put filler in their baskets. What they do is fill every little MM. of space with Fruit. You get your Monies Worth.
We
also went to the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart to get a nice Thank You Card. We were shocked to find that location will soon be
closing. A sign of the times.
Before
heading to Tecumseh, we stopped in to the new Popeyes to have our lunch. We both ordered a Two-Piece Meal and everything was piping HOT as we tried to eat it.
After
backing the Truck into the Driveway, we headed in to start
bringing the small things up to the Backseat.
Sanford was so happy to see us he started bringing all the Toys that we have given him over the years to play. He never brings
things others have given him to us, just the gifts we gave him. It became necessary
to put him in the Backyard and latch
the Patio Door so he wouldn’t come
back in. Once the Mattress was
secured on top of the Toneau Cover
we were soon on our way. We also left our Thank
You Gift and Card as an expression of our appreciation.
We
had forgotten our Packing Tape Machine
back at Home so we stopped at Dollarama and picked up a small Packing
Tape Dispenser along with a couple of Gatorades.
We
went straight to Guardian Storage and our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. When we moved from our apartment
to go Fulltime we had stored our Bed and other Personal Effects to use when we have to “Come off the Road”. When our Trailer
had to go back to the Factory and
our Daughter & Son-in-law
offered us the use of their Basement
to stay in, we used our own belongings. Now it all had to go back into storage
and that was going to take some time.
We
had to move things that had been put where the Mattress had been into the hallway. Then after using the Packing Tape Dispenser to repair holes
in the Plastic Mattress Cover it was
put away. We had also used our Luggage
to carry and store clothes. I had to find the pieces we had already put away
and put them into the larger piece. What we didn’t have before were Cardboard Boxes that we had to buy.
Instead of just discarding them they were added to the Storage Unit. Kathy walked up to the Office to gather our Mail while I finished packing the rest
of our belongings away.
When
we were shopping yesterday we couldn’t find everything on our Shopping List so now we started looking
at all the stores we thought would have them. The first store was Home Outfitters where we managed to scratch Two
Items from our List. We then
tried Canadian Tire, Home Sense, Bon Claire, Winners and JYSK putting in lots of walking but not finding what we wanted.
It
was already past 6:00 and we were tired as well as being hungry so we went to Swiss Chalet where we had a Chicken Primavera
for supper. We must have been hungry because we easily ate the entire meal and
even had a refill on our Soft Drinks.
It
was after 7:30 by the time we got Home. We read a number of Blogs but again our MiFi connection is too slow to be able
to leave comments. Having read about the loss of Family Members on Two Blogs
we wanted to express our Condolences but
could not. I definitely have to fix this Problem.
Thanks for following along and feel free to leave
a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Gosh you guys are too busy! That was nice of you to get the fruit basket, would love to have seen a picture of it. Sounds like you're getting things done and maybe can take a resting day soon!
