Fresh Air Walk and It’s Here.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night we slept with our windows wide open and didn’t have to worry about being overly hot. What we did have to make certain of was that we had the blankets pulled tightly up around our necks. The temperature dipped down to a cool 52 F (11C) that would only climb to a balmy high of 63F (17 C) for the day. The fresh air did help us to sleep to just after 8:00 this morning and made us close the windows down to a crack while we had a two cup of coffee breakfast.

After doing our morning reading on the computers Kathy suggested we go for a walk around the block for some exercise and fresh air. Off we went heading eastbound and turning up the first intersection going up a street that has seen major construction recently which saw an upgrade to the sewer system that most of the residents had been praying about for quite a while. At the next intersection we accessed the walking path along the playground not far from our building before ending up at the Metro Grocery Store. We gathered a few things we had on a shopping list along with a number of cans of soup that we’ll be needing to keep warm if this weather is any indicator of the temperatures to come.

Walking back to our apartment building we stopped at the lobby to gather the mail. As I was emptying our box Kathy saw a missed delivery notice with our name on it in the foyer. Seeing that it had been left there yesterday Kathy suggested I walk down to pick it up. That is what I did walking past the grocery store we had just left to go to the Post Office. By the time I got back to the apartment Kathy had just finished getting lunch ready.

Remember about ten days ago I said we had ordered the last of our Christmas Gifts on-line from New York City because that was the only place we could find it. Well that was what came in today but when Kathy went to wrap it she realized she was out of wrapping paper. We were expecting our daughter Karen for a short visit around 1:30. She got a chance to see firsthand what the package was because it was on her suggestion that we found the site to purchase it in the first place. Once she had left it didn’t take long for us to head out the door to find the missing wrapping paper.

The wind seemed to be making the temperature feel much cooler than it was but that didn’t stop me from grilling some Johnsonville Brats on the Weber for supper to go with the southwest salad that Kathy made up. Tomorrow I’ll work on what I didn’t do today and Kathy will wrap the last of this year’s Christmas Gifts. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. You really make me feel like a slacker! I haven't even thought about Christmas, let alone shopping or wrapping!
