Our Location today is Apopka,
Florida.
After having worn my partial plate all day yesterday with no
discomfort I felt things were back to normal and I was right. I slept for two
hours and stared at the ceiling for another two before I went to read on the
computer. Finally I started feeling tired again so I did manage to get another
couple of hours sleep before getting up at 8:30.

Kathy wanted something for breakfast this morning so we had
defrosted some frozen berries last night to put on top of our waffles. It is
nice to spoil ourselves once in a while.
While I was still working on the computer Kathy managed to
get a second campground reservation booked this time in Largo,
Florida for the week our daughter
and her family come down. Now she is still researching other parks to fill in
the last two weeks of March.
I was outside by 11:00
so that I could finish wiring in our new batteries. It didn’t take long to
strip the cables and install the lugs but I needed to drill holes in the stands
to create a grounding point. By that time Kathy thought we should have lunch because
she was starting to go stir crazy from staring at the computer screen. Later before
hooking up the cables I used red colored Rescue Tape to cover the positive
cable connectors insulating them from shorting against metal and making them
easier to identify. The way I have set up the battery racks that I made inside
the front part of the trailer gives us room to add more batteries at a later
date so we can eventually add solar panels and be able to dry camp off the grid.

Once I was finished that job I started writing down
measurements for my next project on the truck. I had purchased metal roof trim
at Home Depot over a week and a half ago and now it was time to lay them out. It
took me nearly three hours to complete the first piece but had the second piece
finished in an hour. The reason for this was I had noticed that on rainy nights
when I park the truck near a curb it’s impossible to see where the outside dual
is compared to the curb. Kathy has also banged up her legs on the step bar
getting into the truck on dark nights a few times because she couldn’t see it. My
project is to add amber clearance lights under the cab to protect Kathy from
the step bar and hopefully allow me to see how close to a curb I am without
looking like a redneck.

By then it was time to grill the hamburgers on the grill as
the sun was setting and we were wondering where the time had gone. Hopefully I’ll
have those light bars installed and running in the next day or so and Kathy will
have completed her research so we can enjoy the wonderful weather like we had
today. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

What did the dragon say when he saw Sir
George coming?
"Oh no, not more canned food!"
Glad to hear your feeling so good already after the dental work. You sure have me craving some of those waffles. Nice work on your batteries, and happy to hear that the camping arrangements are coming together for your kids arrival.
