Our Location today is Apopka,
Florida.
We tried sleeping without the furnace running all night and
just put the heavier comforter on which worked great until this morning when we
got out of bed. It didn’t matter that we put our sweaters on we had to give in
and run the furnace one cycle until it heated up the trailer. The darn thing
ran for a good twenty minutes nonstop.
Saturday morning some of the Civil War re-enactors trying to warm up. |
With breakfast out of the way it wasn’t long before we were
on our way to Home Depot so that I’d be able to get the hardware necessary to
do my repairs and start my projects. We must have walked every aisle (or so we
thought) looking for what we needed only to find out there was another area
behind the section that said Employees Only. That
area was a waste of time but we did get everything I needed to do my chores
plus.

The other problem was that some of the materials were 10 ft.
and another was 12 ft. long and being in a fairly unfamiliar area to us we
decided on bringing it back to the trailer. The unloading of our purchases didn’t
take long but it was almost lunch so we took the time to enjoy our own version
of lunch in the trailer.
Even the horses were kept on a high-line by the tents. |
Now the plan was to find an RV dealer so that I could get a
few more things so I could do a few more chores and after we needed a few more
questions answered at a Verizon outlet so I brought Kathy’s laptop and our MiFi
along. On Sunday we had explored the area and seen an RV dealer slightly past
Home so after following the road around a bend what do we spot that we didn’t
see on Sunday but a Verizon Store.

Dave helped us out clearing a few misconceptions and then we
hit roadblock after roadblock. He was on the phone with the Verizon tech
support three times and in the end as he said we were still leaving the store
with the same unanswered questions. He did help us out in another way that will
save us aggravation in the future.
As we were leaving the Verizon store we thought of getting a
snack to hold us over until supper when we spotted a Steak & Shake in the
same parking lot. Not only did we have a snack but being nearly supper time
that’s what we had and we still had room for dessert. The food and service were
great and it cost less than if we’d gone to a Mickey D’s.
We finally made it to the RV Dealer only to find out they
had no parts or service department. Oh well there is still time for that.
On the way back to the trailer we spotted a Super K-mart so
we swung in there to have a look around. Kathy did manage to find a comfortable
pair of sandals that really fit her well and they’ll replace her present pair
that is suddenly starting to let go at the seams.
Can't tell that I love the way these old oak trees grow. |
When we arrived back at the trailer at 6:30 the sun was starting to set so my chores will have to
wait for another day. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a
comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Sometimes it can be a little frustrating finding parts and things needed for repairs, but at least you had a steak and shake...they make the best chocolate shakes!
