Beautiful Restless Day

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy and I both dislike using alarm clocks to wake up. One reason is being shocked awake from a restful sleep especially since we're retired it should be illegal after having to do that throughout our careers. The second reason is that for some unknown reason we both barely sleep just knowing the alarm has been set.

Last night we posted our blog later than we like and there are other blogs that we like to read at night. Unfortunately that makes for later bedtimes and restless sleep. We eventually fall asleep only to be dreaming of what was happening on other people's blogs or things we have to do to the point of constantly waking from a sound sleep. It is amazing and frustrating all at the same time because you clear your mind of all thought but it is like a switch that keeps turning itself back on. Subconsciously knowing the time the alarm is set for we will both wake before the alarm goes off. If we didn't set the alarm we sleep like logs and would sleep in.

This morning I was scheduled for the blood donor clinic so I couldn't afford to sleep in. After breakfast a shave and shower I just arrived on time. It was warm enough at ten this morning nobody needed jackets or sweaters. After lunch Kathy and I walked in the warm beautiful sunshine down to the nearby Metro grocery store. This trip was multi-puposed as Kathy needed to research different foods we can use on our trip this summer for herself and Bill who are both Diabetic. The next purpose of this walk was for exercise to help invigorate us from the lack of sleep last night and pick up a few more groceries.

By the time we had put everything away we both sat in the recliners for a half hour nap. When we woke it was time to have our first Barbeque on the balcony since we moved in to the apartment. Kathy made twice baked potatoes while I grilled  burgers on the grill. The weather was so perfect we even sat on the balcony to enjoy our supper and the sounds of the birds returning to the area for Spring.

Speaking of Spring it is only 3 days away I've already dropped the wood off at our son's and I'll be bringing the metal so we can start on the trailer modifications on the first day of Spring. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.
