Since it Rained until 9:00 last night, it could have something to do with the sudden increase in temperature. The High Temperature for today, Monday the 28th of December was 57 F (13.7 C) immediately after Midnight. That’s when the Wind started to increase to the point that the Windsor City Airport recorded the Wind Gusts reaching as high as 50 MPH (80 KLM). Now the Wind itself did not bother us inside the Apartment, what did us was the Banging of the Partition against the Balcony Railing.
That Noise along with the Pain I was experiencing in my Neck and Shoulders kept me hopping between the Recliner and Bed, until I used another Extra Strength Tylenol to help me sleep.
When it came time for breakfast, we happily reduced the number of Leftovers that were starting to pile up in the Fridge. We added a Hot Cup of Coffee for the short time we could spend on our Computers.
We wanted to get some errands done before the weather would change. We actually saw the Sun break through the Clouds by 10:00, only to have difficulty seeing out the Balcony Door by 11:00.
Heading out around noon, we stopped at Mary Brown’s chicken to take advantage of their Monday Special. It was only moments after we sat down to eat, that the place started to fill up.
Last week after leaving the Pain Care Clinic, we stopped at the Clear Imaging Center closest to our home, only to find a sign in the door saying “X-Rays are no longer being done at this location”. Today, we headed to the next closest location which was in Tecumseh. When we arrived there in the door in big red letters was a sign saying “Closed”. With the Pain once again building in my Shoulder, I just wanted to get this over with, in hopes of relief. We headed to the main location in Windsor.
At the Reception Desk, I was told it was an Hour wait, but it was only Thirty Minutes before we were leaving. This is where the X-Ray Technician explained that the other locations were closed due to the Holidays and will be back after the New Year. Another thing I was told was this Script was also for an Ultrasound, but with the backlog of patients waiting, you are put on a List. As the List gets shorter, in about Eight to Ten Weeks, they will call you to give you the Appointment Time. Hopefully, I’ll make it until then.
We were pulling into the driveway, when I realized we had forgotten to do our banking today. Kathy simply said let’s go back. We drove around the building and out the exit.
Ten Minutes later we were at the Credit Union, taking care of the first part of the chore. Over to the Bank, Kathy stayed in the Car, while I took care of business. I was out in Five Minutes only to hear Kathy say let’s eat out.
Since the Flurries had stopped we went to Wendy’s to have their Chicken Nuggets for supper. It gave us only a few minutes to relax before seeing larger Flakes going by than earlier. It wasn’t long before we were sitting in the Apartment.
The “6 o’clock Local News” showed more Flurries heading our way, with colder temperatures.
We’ll see what we do tomorrow.
