I managed to sleep twice as long in Bed, then in my Recliner last night, but it wasn't enough. It just felt like I hadn't even gone to sleep at all.
I was getting things ready for our breakfast snack when Kathy came out to join me. A Yogurt Cup and a few One Bite Pastries that were sent home with us last night, before we headed to our Computers, but we couldn't stay long. After checking "The Weather Network" it wasn't long before we were headed out the door. First, I texted our daughter Karen to be certain there were no extra Boyfriends/Girlfriends that we needed to buy gifts for in her family. She texted back "No", and I'm certain she'll want more of an explanation the next time we see her.
When we were on our way home after the Christmas/Birthday Celebration at our daughter Rose's home, we had planned on getting a few extra Gifts. Unfortunately, the Dollrama store had already closed, so the only thing left to do, was to go this morning. That was the first stop we made, and within minutes we had the Gift Wrap and extra Gifts we needed.
Thinking it would be wise to collect our Mail before the Holiday, we headed west on Wyandotte towards Jefferson. Just before getting there, I recalled being very low on my Nerve Blockers, prescribed by the Doctor at the Windsor Pain Clinic, so drove Five Blocks further to the Health First Pharmacy. When I explained what I needed, they said they had filled that prescription only Three Weeks ago and I had to wait. After I said I had never received those Medications, they turned the drawer upside down, to find my Medications on the bottom. I'll sleep better tonight.
Arriving at Guardian Storage, I found our Mailbox quite full. Chantel was in the Office by herself while Melissa was in the Yard with a customer.
It was nearly 12:30 when we stopped at A&W for lunch. Trying to cut back on our intake, we settled for their Buddy Burger Combos. Much better than a full-sized burger. We were able to walk away, feeling satisfied but comfortable.
We also stopped at the Zehr's grocery store to pick up some Fruits, Vegetables and Milk. We looked at a few things that we had bought last week, only to see the prices back to their inflated highs.
Back at the Apartment, as soon as the groceries were put away, we worked together to get those last gifts wrapped.
Our appetites have really gotten smaller, because all we had for supper, were a few more One Bite Pastries.
The "6 o'clock Local News" was split between the London (A Hundred Miles away) and the Windsor Studios. We are going to have a nice Green Christmas tomorrow, but very Wet on Friday.
Kathy and I sat down to exchange our Christmas Gifts this evening, because we will be very busy tomorrow. Call this our 2nd Day of Christmas.
We later watched "It's A Wonderful Life" with James Stewart and Donna Reed. It was released before I was born and this is only the second time that I have seen it.
Kathy and I would like to wish all our Family, Friends and Followers a Very Merry Christmas Holiday. Stay Safe.
