After only an Hour in my Recliner, I finished my night in Bed. That’s Two Nights in a row so I’m not complaining.
With all the Leftovers that we are
accumulating over the last few days, instead of having a Yogurt
Cup this morning we had small dishes of Fruit Salad
and Christmas Cookies. Of course, a fresh cup of Coffee
helped us check the important things we needed to know on the
Computers.
Since it appeared the area was experiencing a heavy Fog this morning, it only took looking at the Rain slashing against the Balcony Door to see what was really happening. The Weather Network confirmed that this would be an all-day event.
With Plans already made I gave Kathy the Umbrella, while I ran between the Raindrops. I dry off fairly quick.
After finally getting underway, out first stop was Wendy’s where we enjoyed their Chicken Nuggets for a quick lunch.
When I looked down a the Gas Gauge, it showed that before the end of the day, the Car would need a fill up or I’d be pushing it, so I chose the first.
The Rain continued coming down, so we simply drove according to the weather conditions. We finally arrived at our daughter-in-law Jennifer’s house in Essex. We were there just barely before our agreed upon time.
After passing out all the Gifts, we had a chance to sit and talk. Jen is in the process of Adopting Dexter, who we helped celebrate his Birthday back in June. She is temporarily Fostering another Five-Year-Old named Tristan. It seemed the boys wanted more attention than we were giving them and stomped off screaming. No matter what Jen would say, they just kept screaming. Kathy finally said that she would talk to them and disappeared upstairs. Slowly things started getting quiet and Jen and I could hear one another talk. When Kathy and the boys came downstairs, they apologized to Jen. Kathy would later tell us, that the boys thought that Jen was going to send them away and that’s why they acted up. Jen has too big a heart to mistreat a child. As punishment they both got a Hug and a Kiss.
The forecasters lied saying the Rain would stop by mid-afternoon. We stopped at the Chinese Restaurant we used to live next to in Tecumseh and had Lemon Chicken for supper. It was delicious but we now have more than enough Lemon Chicken Leftovers for another meal.
The Rain finally stopped around 10:00 this evening but the Westerly Wind Gusts of 35 MPH started rattling the divider on our Balcony. Our 6th Day of Christmas ended with a high temperature of 48 F (9 C) this evening.
We’ve got errands to run tomorrow and Leftovers to eat.
