Numbers Down and Tree Up.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

When we change the bedding yesterday to our winter sheets, I didn’t think it was going to cause a problem, but it did. The problem was that my sleeping Pants were made of the same kind of material as the Sheets. Every time I went to turn over last night, the two pieces of cloth would cling together, making my right Hip feel like it was being pulled apart. The only thing I could do was get out of bed to straighten the sheets. Because I was so toasty, I immediately fell back to sleep until the Phone rang.

Remember how I said our Family Doctor wanted to know how Kathy’s Blood Sugar Levels were doing. He wanted me to call today, but the Phone was ringing at 8:00, when I was trying to make up for lost sleep. I missed the call but heard the message. Playing Phone Tag I ended up leaving Kathy’s Numbers on a message. He didn’t call back.

When Kathy took her Blood Sugar Level this morning it was lower than last night and by the supper time she was down to where she should always be.

When we talked about it later, we recalled what happened the day she had the Blood Test. We got up late, had Toast with Jam for breakfast, then after realizing she had the Test nearly ran out the door. The Test was less than an Hour after she ate, hence the high count of 24.3. Most would have been in a Diabetic Coma, but Kathy was fine.

Breakfast was a Bran Muffin and Diet Juice. We brought our Coffees to the Computers.

Monday I put up our Artificial Christmas Tree. Today Kathy started unwrapping the ornaments. She wraps them with Bubble Wrap to protect them.

We relaxed a bit and shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust (Less Carbs) Medium Spinach Pizza with Green Olives. Kathy drank Soda Water while I drank the Brisk Iced Tea.

Kathy has been having problems with her E-Mail lately, so I had to go through the Thousand or more messages to clean them up. There was nothing of importance and anything I suspected I would ask her. There were multiple messages from different US Universities researching Cancer, others Alzheimer, others about Heart Disease. There were notifications every time someone she knew posted on Facebook along with other Commercials. Then there were messages from the GOP and US Lawyers handling claim disputes. Between Unsubscribing and just Deleting it took over Two Hours to get that cleaned up.

While I was doing that, Kathy was putting Ornaments on the tree. I knew about the Angels, Birds, and Icicles, but was really had to smile seeing a Fifth Wheel Trailer making its rounds as the rotating base made its way around.

She was still working on that while I started putting together a Stir-Fry. Adding Ham to the Veggie Wraps really changed the flavouring.

When she checked her Blood Sugar Level just before we ate, it was at 8.3. I’ll let the Doctor know tomorrow.

The 6 o’clock Local News showed we could expect a roller coaster in temperatures and precipitation for the next week.

We watched a couple of Hallmark Programs this evening.

I’m shutting the Ringers on our Phones tonight.

  2. Good getting the blood sugar under control. Life's hard enough without adding that to the mix!
