Checking It Twice.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The roller coaster ride continues as we both managed to have a good night’s sleep last night. It was 7:30 when I started my day and before I had things ready for breakfast, Kathy came out to join me.

The first thing she did was to check her Blood Sugar Level for the morning. The Doctor would be smiling, because it was at 6.4. We enjoyed fresh (from the store) Blueberries on our Cereals. As an added treat we had Hot Chocolate to sip on at our Computers.

After a quick lunch we used the Spreadsheet List that I made last night, to head out the door. We used to do this for years and it took all the stress out of our Holiday Shopping. When we were Fulltiming, we would do most of our shopping for the following year in the Southern States. We got everything “On Sale” that offset the exchange, and most of those were just coming on the western market, which meant it would not reach our area until the following year. Perfect timing. Those Lists were much more complicated, but worth the effort to create. Upon our return in the Spring, the first chore we had was to wrap all those Gifts and sort them by Families.

This year we used this List to write down every item we picked up, for the person it was being purchased for. There were a few Hiccups, where I had to call/text a couple of Moms for some information. Always funny when someone doesn’t have you on their Contact List. ???? Though we cut back on our spending, after Four Hours, and Three Stores, many $$$ were spent.

Even though it would have been a wonderful day to walk outside, 50 F (10 C), after getting everything upstairs, we both needed a rest from all the indoor walking we had done. Mine turned into a 4:30 Snap and Kathy took her turn while I was cooking up Open Faced Manwiches for supper. I added Minced Garlic and Black Pepper for extra seasoning.

Kathy’s suppertime Blood Sugar reading was 5.7. We’re both happy and think the Doctor will be also.

After cleaning up the Dishes we went over our Shopping List and found we might be short a few Gifts.

We watched another Hallmark Christmas Movie tonight.

We’ll be getting things wrapped up tomorrow and probably be doing more shopping.

Be Safe and Enjoy!
