Almost Wrapped Up.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It wasn’t hard to sleep last night, with temperatures above the Freezing Mark outside meant it was warmer inside. This was the first High Rise Apartment Building in Windsor in the year 1960. The Windows along with some Plumbing fixtures are original, so when the temperature drops we don’t need a forecast to tell us, it’s Cold out.

I slept until nearly 8:00 this morning and it was Raining. Once I had everything ready for breakfast, I barely sat down at my Computer when Kathy joined me. She immediately wanted to start wrapping gifts until I stopped her. First, she had to check her Blood Sugar Level and we needed to eat.

I had figured that we’d be busy, so planned a breakfast that was a menagerie of Yogurt Cups, Muffins and a Banana. I never thought it would be that filling.

Since we still had our Coffees to drink we started getting our “E” reading finished. Problem was breakfast was started to sit heavy and the moving around was the only way to fix that. Getting everything spread out in individual piles on our bed then matching them up to our Christmas Shopping List helped us reach our goal.

It was past noon so after a quick snack (what we should have had for breakfast), we had the dining table set up to do business. One by one we worked together to wrap each person’s gifts before moving to the next. We took a Ten Minute break around 3:00 then went right back to it.

One thing we always do at these celebrations is if we give to one, we give to everyone there, including Girlfriends or Boyfriends of our grandchildren. It was just after 4:00 when we remembered one of those, not on our List. A quick Text was sent but I was at one end of the room while my phone was at the other. We finished wrapping all those smaller gifts and put them under our Christmas Tree, before putting everything else away after 5:30.

While I started cooking supper Kathy checked her Blood Sugar Level. With what we had eaten today, (mostly Carbs) it was up from this morning.

The Text had been answered around 4:30 but I only found it after the Dishes were cleaned up. I think the spelling is wrong. That’s okay, we still have a couple of weeks to get it straight.

The 6 o’clock Local News showed it had Drizzled all day and would continue through most of the night. I guess we made good use of our time.

We watched a Murder Mystery tonight.

Krackers

My son just said to me that he doesn’t understand cloning.

I said, “That makes two of us.”

  2. We do the same with gift giving for grandsons and their girlfriends or wives. They're all keepers in my opinion LOL.
