Busy Day Together.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

We both managed to get a good night’s sleep last night, but we also felt tired most of the day. We were just too busy.

It was minutes after 8:00 when I got up for the day. The Plan was to get myself dressed and start my chores. Since one involved going outside, the first thing I needed to do was to check the weather forecast. It would get above the Freezing Mark but with the West Wind, might not feel like it. The program had not even opened when Kathy came out to join me.

Kathy wasn’t happy when I had her sit down to check her Blood Sugar Level first thing. If she had been doing this all along our Family Doctor would not be in such a panic over her high numbers. By simply taking that one tablet after supper last night, brought her morning number down to what most would consider high.

Back to the Plan. We’ve been dealing with a few too many things in the last Three Weeks, so today we had to deal with the essentials. While Kathy stripped the bed, I was sorting the rest of our laundry. This added up to more than our normal amount but we were up to the challenge.

We were in the Second Floor Laundry Room by 10:00. Since there was nobody else there we took advantage of all the working Washers and we still needed more to handle the change of season clothes.

We took the time to go start checking what messaging was on our Computers before having to return. These Washers do not hold as much as the old Top Load Washers, so when it came to drying it was Two Loads per Dryer. While the first Three Dryers were going, the Last Two Washers were reloaded.
That still gave us time to return to the
Apartment for Kathy to check her Blood Sugar Level again before we had lunch. It was down even further than this morning.

We were back in the Laundry Room by 12:15 to start folding the clothes that was already dry. I also transferred the last Two Loads to the Dryers and simply added Three Quarters to finish the process.

It was 1:20 when we were back in the Apartment with all our laundry folded. We sat a short while since our Backs are no longer used to that strain we had put them through.

With additional reading, putting the laundry away, then making the bed together it was 3:30 when Kathy took her final Blood Sugar Test of the day. It has to be taken a Half Hour before her next meal but it was down to acceptable levels.

Outside Kathy wished she’d worn a Coat rather than a Jacket. She felt frozen by the time we reached the Car.

Our first stop was to Families First Pharmacy to get a Bio-Hazard Container for her test machine.

It was only 4:10 when we walked in to Wendy’s for supper. Wanting something health and filling we each had one of their Salads. We were the only ones there when we walked in, but before we sat down the place was starting to fill up.

Next stop was Zehr’s grocery store. That was why we ate out, there was nothing left to eat in the Fridge. It was past 5:30 as we loaded the Car and headed for home.

As soon as we walked in, we turned on the 6 o’clock Local News. We listened to it while putting everything way. We might see the Sun this Friday but Rain to start next week.

We watched a short program on the television tonight. I’m certain we’ll sleep soundly.
