Even though it was the coldest night for us so far this Winter we both woke up numerous times shedding our blankets to cool down then to be pulling them back up to stay warm Five Minutes later. The thermostat was set for 70 F (21 C) but you could feel a breeze by passing your hand by the window.

There was definitely a bright side to our day when the Sun actually came out early this morning and did not disappear until it set during our supper. It was also nice that the light Breeze was coming from the front of the building.

As for the Spine Injury it was still bothering me today. Pat the gentleman that was trying to help still asked me Twenty Years later if I was okay. It was truly an accident.

Heather called to let us know that our son Ken’s Surgery went well and the Doctors just want him to take it easy at this point.

Since we were not being too active we settled for baked Beans on Toast for lunch along with Shortbread Cookies, a Yogurt Cup and a shared Apple for dessert.

We worked together sweeping the Apartment. While Kathy was sweeping I was on the Balcony shaking out Rugs from the Bedroom and Bathroom. I appreciated that there was no breeze which made the Below Freezing Temperature feel comfortable. I was surprise how much Dust was coming out of those Rugs since the only foot traffic the saw was from our slippers.

Wanting to be certain our 6 o’clock Local News would be on I turned on the Television early to check. If it was any kind of Sports on it would be pre-empted the News. Instead what was on was “How it’s Made” which shows how lots of things are commercially made. Imagine my surprise when they showed how a Solar Water Heater is made. This only confirmed my ideas of how to make one inexpensively to use in the Desert.

For supper Kathy made a Cheddar Noodle side dish to go with the Third Slab of Spare Ribs we shared for supper. Sorry Jeff but she also recreated the last of the Carrot Cake for dessert.

On the 6 o’clock Local News we learned that we had 6 more Deaths and 67 New Coronavirus Cases in our area today. We also learned that Larry King had passed away due to complications from the Virus.

There’s a good chance we’ll head to the Storage Unit tomorrow.

  3. I just saw where our county had 13 Covid deaths yesterday. That's the most one day total ever. Scary.

    Oh those ribs look tasty.

  4. I have been offline for a few days but now I am all caught up. Sorry to read about your accident with your spine many years ago and even sorrier that it is acting up again. Sounds like it needs a good deal of TLC. I must have missed something in going back over the four posts that I had missed but it seems I missed what happened to your son Ken. I hope that all is well. So very sorry to read about Vera's sone and most especially her DIL. My condolences to all.
