Checking On Progress, Enjoyable Lunch, Touring The Town and More Shopping.

Our Location today is at the Alamogordo/White Sands K.O.A. NM.

Having left the Electric Fireplace on overnight when I wandered downstairs before 6:30 this morning the room felt comfortable. I managed to get things ready for breakfast along with raising the Window Shades before sitting down at my Computer. I had barely scanned the Local News back in Windsor when Kathy came downstairs before 7:00. These early hours are getting catchy.
With breakfast out of the way we worked together to verify our Banking Transactions that we asked for to cover the repair costs on the Truck had gone through successfully. Someone misunderstood what we said but we’ll survive. Not wanting any further surprises we decided to go run a few errands and check things out for ourselves.
The first place we stopped was Enterprise Car Rental to inform them we might be needing their Truck for a day or two longer. With everything that had been going on Monday we missed the sign on the window that said that they are closed for the Weekends.
Our next stop was at Vision Ford to see what kind of progress had been made on our Truck. Even though their Service Department was working, Richard their Diesel/Truck Specialist had the weekend off.
Kathy's Steak and Mushroom Omelet.
When we went to I-Hop on Monday upon leaving we received Coupons that we could use at any location across the US. Today the place was packed but it was only after 11:00 so we just waited. It actually went very quickly after they called a group of Ten then Sixteen. By the time we got seated and had our lunch it was nearly noon. Perfect timing! The manager apologized for the delay but said they are normally busy on Thanksgiving and slow after. This year it was quiet on Thursday and nonstop around the clock since then. We both ordered different Omelets but they turned out to be larger than expected. Our supper this evening turned out to be an Apple that we shared and a Cup of Hot Chocolate.
My Fajita Omelet.
Since there wasn’t much we had to do back Home we actually drove around Alamogordo going through the original Business Section, older and newer Residential Areas. Having looked up a number of things on Mapquest I knew how to drive the scenic loop around town to end up at the White Sands Mall.
The reason for going there was the G.N.C.. When we visited the Will Rogers Museum in Oklahoma we were talking with a woman that recommended Kathy try a Natural Supplement and Gel for her RA. As soon as we showed the name to the Manager he questioned who had the severe Arthritis. They know what their products are used for. Because the Store is being relocated in town lots of his shelves had bare spots and so with my G.N.C. Discount plus an additional 30% Off the cost was less then $10.00 for both products. We’ll let you know the name after Kathy tries it out. Lots of times Natural Medications work better then things created by the Pharmaceutical Companies but are not covered under most Drug Plans.
From there we wandered through the Mall checking out what remained of the Black Friday Sales. Since we are still doing our Christmas Shopping for 2019 we did strike paydirt at Melrose and Harbor Freight.
There's the Rocket Museum right  of center.
We refilled our Drinking Water Jug at the Reverse Osmosis Dispenser before heading Home.
Kathy had to immediately start entering our purchases into our Christmas Gift Spreadsheet so she can see at a glance who we still need to shop for. While she did that I flushed and dumped our Waste Tanks something that hasn’t been done in Eleven Days even though we are connected.
Guess who came to town?
It was still early but the temperature was dropping when we decided to watch the movie the “Darkest Hour” starring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. When it arrived at the theater in Parker Arizona it only stayed for Three Days so we missed it. As Canadians we learned a lot of British History was a must in school so wanting to see this was only natural. This was extremely well done and even Historians that saw the Movie swore that it was Churchill himself.
Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but it will be something. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. We are catching up after having both our kids and their families here for Thanksgiving. Even though your reason for being there is not a great one it sounds like the two of you are having a good time. Hope you have your the truck back soon.

  3. Hi guys. I wondered if your font size or something has changed as it appears very small and crammed together. I'm just finding it difficult to read lately or maybe it is my eyes!
I hope your truck is soon ready for you although it is nice that you have one to use and see the sights in the area.
Your IHop lunch looks wonderful! We'll definitely go back a couple of times while in Az.
I hope you don't mind the font comment. :)

  4. I had the same comment. The first and fourth paragraph font size is smaller.

Those omelets are HUGE. Gosh, just looking at that much food is making me full! I hope the GNC product helps the arthritis.
