Busy Way of Relaxing.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Another great night to sleep with the windows open which helped us to feel very refreshed when we got up this morning. As soon as breakfast was finished we checked our E-mails and The Weather Network to see what the weather would be like this morning before heading out the door.
Spinning Wool while customers shop.
We headed in to Windsor where we wanted to attend the 38th Annual Art in the Park held at the Willistead Manor. This year there were over two hundred vendors selling their handcrafted wares, nothing imported here. We arrived shortly after 9:30 and had to park about a quarter mile away. After walking the distance and paying our admittance we got to walk around. The admission that was paid goes to the Historical Society and is used for the upkeep and restoration of the manor and its grounds.
A very unique carving.
We saw many things of interest but knew very well they would be a waste of time with our new lifestyle. Most of the times in the past that we had attended was not so much to purchase for the present but for planning what was available for future projects. We were away in South Carolina last year but were happy to see that since the last time we attended they had expanded on the amusement area for people with young toddlers. By having a spot for the little ones to play while attended by one of the parents the other could either look around or wait until the child is more than contented to sleep in their strollers.
Face Painting and a band entertaining people as they ate lunch.
After walking around for close to two hours we stopped at the food tent for lunch. It is manned entirely by volunteers and all profits earned from the sale of the food is added to the operating budgets of all the city parks. We each ordered a foot-long hotdog and shared an order of onion rings for less than ten dollars. There were also volunteer musical groups throughout the park entertaining the crowds. The temperatures were perfect with just enough cloud coverage and light breeze to make it comfortable.
We walked around for a while longer where Kathy did find a couple of items that will go well with the fairy theme she has created around our site. Even in massive crowds like that Kathy occasionally had to wait for me as I had been intercepted by other former coworkers from my thirty-six-year career in the casting plants. It was shortly after 1:00 when we left and the lineup of people just wanting to get in was still half way around the block.
Some stately trees
This pine tree that was nearly blown over years ago,
is still alive and children use it like a jungle jim.
We stopped at Guardian Storage to collect our mail before going to visit our daughter Karen at her home in Tecumseh. When we got there nobody was there so we just headed for Home.
A cute little gnome and a metal rose solar lamp.
We barely got into the trailer and we had neighbours wanting to talk with us. We added our purchases to our outdoor décor before working on cutting up a watermelon and pineapple we’d bought the other day before they spoiled. Better eaten than tossed.
Steak, salad and sweet potato for supper and watermelon for dessert.
For supper Kathy baked a sweet potato and made a great salad to go with a steak that I grilled on our Weber. I’d no sooner finished grilling the steak that we shared when it started to rain. It’s been heavy at times before slowing slightly. I don’t have to water our plants tonight. With all today's walking we should have no problems sleeping tonight. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
