More Cleaning and Some Shopping.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy and I were so tired last night after the last few nights of not sleeping properly that we slept like a couple of rocks.  In fact we slept so well that I woke just after 8:00 and Kathy slept until nearly 9:00 this morning.

We had breakfast while watching the Weather Channel on television and were not surprised by the forecast they gave for our area. By the end of the weekend our night time lows could dip below the freezing mark for the first time this fall.

After spending time doing our morning reading on the computers Kathy and I busied ourselves cleaning different parts of the apartment. Kathy likes to keep the bathroom and kitchen sparkling. After vacuuming the furniture in the living room with the Shop Vac I turned my sights on packing other things that needed to be returned to the trailer. I packed up our Big Buddy Heater that we’ll be using to keep warm instead of running the furnace in the trailer until we get to a warmer climate. I also took the time to scrub out the insides of the double water filter that we have for the trailer. I had changed the filters themselves before but hadn’t taken note of the mineral build up inside the casings. By the time I stopped for lunch I had the casings looking like new.

After lunch Kathy and I loaded the truck up again and made a few stops before ending up at the trailer again. Kathy was busy packing away nonperishable items on the inside of the trailer while I stored the Shop Vac and water filtering system away in the basement.

Once everything was put away we headed over to Walmart where Kathy was unsuccessful in finding a small storage container she wanted. We did however spend nearly an hour walking around doing grocery shopping for a lot of things that we were running extremely low on.
I mounted our weather guages on the side of our Breadbox yesterday.

After taking nearly a half hour to get everything put away we got down to the business of making supper. First I set the Weber on preheating because of the cool temperature outside then went inside to cut up an Acorn Squash for Kathy to clean and cook in the microwave. I then started grilling a nice Sirloin steak that Kathy and I would share before going back inside to chop vegetables for Kathy. She was busy sautéing onions and mushrooms in balsamic vinegar to go with our steaks and squash.

The apartment is once again starting to look the way it should with all the things belonging to the trailer going back to the trailer. Everything else that is still here will have to wait until we are ready to start our trip south in ten weeks because it could freeze and we won’t let that happen.

We have plans for tomorrow so we’ll be busy again. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
