Cool Errands and Saving the Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With not having anything pressing planned for today we both seemed to have no problems sleeping last night. We probably had more trouble waking up this morning because we were sleeping so soundly. I had a hard time opening my eyes after 8:00 and it was closer to 9:00 before Kathy woke up. After having breakfast Kathy was surprised that I had already finished my morning reading.

I went outside to check on the fuel level in the truck, to return some tools I’d recently used and to bring in my drill that I plan on replacing the power cord on. After getting back in the apartment I busied myself shredding a bunch of documents and notes that we are constantly revising so I could empty our recycle bin.

In an attempt to cut back on our food intake both Kathy and I are finding that we can share a sandwich and a piece of fruit while still feel quite satisfied. Lately I have been exercising but Kathy hasn’t had that opportunity as yet so it wasn’t long after lunch before we headed out for a walk. We used running an errand as an excuse by walking over to the Metro Grocery Store. We went for supplies that we will need for our contribution to the Pot Luck at a Halloween party that we’ll be attending this Saturday night at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s home.

We did stop on the return at the Tim Horton’s for a coffee to try to warm up and do a little people watching while we were at it. The temperature reached a high of 55 F (13 C) today but with the wind chill we were both chilled through. Luckily the walk from the coffee shop was a short one so we didn’t feel like a couple of popsicles by the time we got home. This might be an indication for us to pull our heavier coats out of the closet.

By the time we put everything away it was only a short while later that it was time to start preheating our Weber Q. Tonight I grilled a nice Salmon fillet that Kathy had seasoned. Kathy also made a wonderful salad to go with it. By the time we finished eating we were both feeling very full.

Moments ago we received a call from our grandson Tyler who needed a favor. He has a school project due for tomorrow about Owls. He hasn’t been able to find anything the right size that he could use so he asked if I could print up a picture for him. When he comes to get it he’ll be happy to know that both those pictures I took on our first Snowbirding winter. His mom is driving him over to get them shortly.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Aren't the kids amazing. They always know that grandma and grandpa will have the answer. And you do!
