We Never Stop Being Busy.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

In last night’s blog I presumed that I would sleep fairly well due to exhaustion and I was right. I also wrote that when we visited with Kevin and Melissa that Melissa had prepared quite a few snacks in celebration of our birthdays that we all nibbled on throughout our visit and we appreciated it. Nibbling day and night is something that young people can easily do but it is not something that Kathy and I are used to. Kathy’s tummy was rumbling & reminded her of her late snacks until after 3:00 when she finally fell asleep.

We were up at 8:30 and finished breakfast by 9:00. Kathy again used my laptop while I had my morning shower in preparation for my 10:30 follow-up appointment with my surgeon. After doing a few more things we were on our way.

The surgeon was happy with the results and I haven’t had any further pains around the incision since before we left for Florida. We both wished one another the best with the promise that if I needed his services again I’d be calling.

We then stopped at the storage yard where I looked inside in an attempt to find a program disc that I usually carry with us and to examine Kathy’s bicycle to see if I could determine the handle bar stem size. I struck out on both accounts.
That is fog we are driving into not window glare.
We then made a quick stop at Princess Auto where I purchased a new torque wrench for checking the wheel nuts with.

We stopped at Walmart looking for an organizing bin that Kathy wants for the bedroom closet. Another strike out.

As we pulled out of one driveway we pulled in to another. We stopped at the Michigan Roadhouse where we had lunch because with everything we needed to do there was no time to run home to make something up.

Back on the road we drove out to Essex to pick up Kathy’s laptop at Sx-Video. Dillon powered it up to demonstrate and explain everything he had to do to it. I immediately noted the lack of pop-ups and knew Kathy would be happy.

On our return we stopped at a few more stores looking for Kathy’s organizer. We struck out at each one of them but we were getting more ideas for Christmas gifts since it is only 237 days away. You just can’t start too soon.

We did hit pay-dirt when we stopped at Home Hardware and even though they didn’t have it in stock we were able to order a Mr. Heater Big Buddy. Our plans for the future are to boondock without using the furnace or shore power. Since they sell those more in the winter they had to order it for us and it should be in next Thursday.

We finally got home just before 4:00 and while Kathy jumped in to the shower because we had a dinner date I set up her computer. When she finally tried it she said it never worked this well before. There were no more pop-ups and she could actually read our blog with nothing blocking her view.

At 6:00 we met our friends Bill and Vera at Red Lobster for supper but they surprised us by treating us for our birthdays. The meal was wonderful where everything was done to perfection but the conversation and visit we had was better. We all had a chance to talk about what has been happening and our plans for the future. Tables all around our table changed patrons a couple of times but we were all just enjoying the present company of one another. Finally we said our best wishes and headed for home.

Tomorrow we still have things that need to be prepped for next Friday so the excitement continues to grow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. We love our Mr Buddy heater, for the size of your trailer I think a Blue Flame Propane heater would do a better job.
