Birthday Celebration.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy had a restless night again but did manage to sleep. I practically fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow but after sleeping for nearly an hour I was wide awake. I tried laying there then getting up and sitting in the living room recliner until I felt relaxed. Going back to bed I would only lay there until getting up and repeating the process. Finally on the third time up I just sat at the computer mindlessly playing a game that I do instinctively rather than by concentration. By the time the sun was starting to rise I finally fell back to sleep only to wake up around 8:30.
After having coffee and cereal for breakfast Kathy went to do her morning reading on my Windows 7 laptop as she couldn’t seem to get the hang of Microsoft Vista on the backup laptop now that she’s gotten used to her Windows 8.1 laptop.
I busied myself getting the laundry sorted before 10:00 when I called Sx–Video to pass along a tip left behind by Bob on last night’s post. He had the same problem and researched all the programs on his computer. The program "whilokii" was known to cause pop-ups and once he’d removed it from his computer it has worked perfectly since.
After I had everything in the dryers Kathy waited a bit before making an early lunch. It worked perfectly because by the time I finished eating it was time to go back to fold the laundry.
While I was in the process of folding the clothes Lynn the manager was showing a potential new tenant around the building and stopped in the laundry room. It was Ryan whom I also worked with for about six years. It turns out he has now left the industry and is now a government employee.
Once I had put the clothes away back in the apartment it was time to start grilling a nice chicken that Kathy had bought the other day on the Weber. I tried using the low and slow method that George is always talking about but because of the wind continually blowing the flame out. I finally had to set it almost low in order to thoroughly grill it to perfection.
Kathy had made a salad and thin sliced baked potato to go with it. She took the time to plate our meals so we wouldn’t over eat and to give us enough leftovers for another meal identical to what we just had. As always you just can’t make anything grilled on the Weber taste bad. The taste is unbelievably delicious with a smoky flavor cooked in.
Once we’d finished washing dishes we headed out to Kevin and Melissa’s in Amherstburg. We normally visit them on Wednesday evenings but Melissa was working the late shift yesterday so we just rescheduled for tonight. Besides our normal cup of tea she also served several snacks and a nice Ice Cream Cake as a way of celebrating our birthdays. Kathy’s birthday on Tuesday and mine today. We didn’t expect it but did appreciate it. Thanks Melissa and Kevin! We always enjoy our visits with them and being the jokester she is Melissa kept us laughing through most of our visit.
Tomorrow will be filled with errands and other things to get ready before we leave for Indiana in a week. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Rena: You're wanted in accounting.

Valerie: Why? You don't think they heard my comment about women in menopause do you?

Rena: Accounting has eyes and ears everywhere.

Valerie: Fine. I'll go. I'll be the one to tell them it's not fair that the entire office is freezing because they have hot flashes. (Pushes button to call elevator) I'm gonna die, aren't I??

Rena: Nah, You'll be fine. Can I have your chair?
