Continuing Progress

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

Even though it was slightly cooler last night we still slept fairly well. We seem to be waking quite naturally around 8:00 since we’ve gotten rid of those colds we had. Unfortunately the Weather Network is showing another cool down starting tomorrow. With that in mind as soon as breakfast was done we went straight to the computers so we’d get an early start outside.
By 10:00 this morning it was already 63 F (17 C) so I had a few things that had to get done today. Since we are planning on taking a day trip to the Tampa RV Show tomorrow I needed to clean out the back seat of the truck. Then I started sanding the PCV piping project so that it could be painted. Kathy was busy inside setting a nice ham roast we bought at Walmart yesterday to cook for supper in the Slow Cooker and then making up our lunch.
With lunch over I completed the painting of the PCV pipe but when I put it under the slide for the night it was as if I’d just painted it thanks to the high humidity in Florida. I also needed to install grommets into a new bicycle cover as the old one was ripping apart at the seams. The only problem was the tool and grommets were not where they were supposed to be and I spent nearly an hour before they were found. All the other searching did help me find tools that I will be using later this weekend.
Kathy had been busy cleaning off the picnic table cover before going inside to scrub out the front bathroom and shower until she again came out for some fresh air and to read her book. I took a short break so we could talk as well until Kathy started feeling chilled.
I attempted to replace a burnt marker light on the truck only to be surprised to find it full of mud and the contacts completely corroded. That’s another chore that gets added to the to-do list.
Kathy always follows our credit and bank cards online to be certain that nobody is messing with our accounts. In early December I had suspended our Canadian phone system in order to save money while we are down south just like I did last year. Right after New Year’s Day Kathy noticed our account was still active and tried resolving it online with a Bell representative who guaranteed her it was now taken care of. When I came in Kathy was again trying to get it taken care of because she had gone online to find the account still active. After nearly an hour she finally asked for a phone number we could reach from the US.
Our dilemma continued with both of us taking turns on the phone to be continually put on hold before we’d hang up. After a serious talk between Kathy and I this problem will not happen again. We will be taking care of it soon.
Tomorrow will be a busy day but it is all part of the adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
