Better, 160th and A Sad Day.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Normally I wait until the mornings to take a shower because they tend to invigorate me, which normally gives me a sleepless night. With the possible change to our appointments for the day. I took a chance that I would luck out and actually sleep. Being that my up and down sleep patterns of the last few nights had left me slightly fatigued, I fell asleep almost instantly when sat back in my Recliner. When I woke long enough to move to our Bed, I verified the Alarm was set. I am glad I did, because it was not. The next thing I remembered was that Alarm waking me at 8:00. Today, I had spent Eight Minutes more in Bed.

Looking outside, all we could see were Clouds in the sky. After a Breakfast Snack Bar, Breakfast Juice to wash down our Morning Medication and a Yogurt Cup, we took our Coffees to our Computers. As is the norm for days like this, as soon as I had checked The Weather Network, I opened my G-Mail to fill in my Questionnaire, so as to later save me time.

We barely had time to finish our Coffees, change our Clothes and we were on our way out the door. Kathy insisted on walking out to the Car with me, but with the Northwesterly Wind blowing slightly, she wished that she had waited at the door.

After taking the Drive to the Parkway, before getting on the Expressway, we were arriving at the Canadian Blood Services building, with little time to spare. By having done the Questionnaire at home, I simply presented a picture of the Q-Pass I had on my phone. After a quick check up, I was soon tipped back and hooked up. Luckily, Kathy remembered to bring a book to read while waiting for me. It was not long before I had made my 160th Blood Donation.

I had never finished that early, so when we went to Pita Pit to order our Healthy Fast Food, the place was nearly empty. By the time we sat down, the place was filling up with people coming in for lunch.

Though we had another appointment just up the road later this afternoon, Kathy just wanted to go home. Luckily, the newly opened No-Name grocery store had just opened in that Plaza. We went in mostly to check out the prices and actually purchased a few things, but other than that we can get the same prices at the nearby Zehr’s.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, before returning to our Apartment. We barely had time to relax before having to leave again.

We arrived at Fantastic Sam’s with Ten Minutes to spare before Julia walked in for her shift. We had time to chat a bit while she trimmed back Eight Weeks worth of hair. We felt human again when we walked out the door.

Kathy was now insistent on eating out for the second time today, but first we stopped at the Bulk Barn to take advantage of their Senior’s Day Discount on Healthy Snacks.

From there we went to Wendy’s to have Chicken Nuggets for supper. Since it was nearly 5:00 when we arrived, the place was moderately filled, but by the time we headed for home again, it was filling up.

On the “6 o’clock Local News” there was disturbing news of a School Shooting in British Columbia, leaving Nine Dead and Twenty-Five more wounded. In Quebec there was a Murder/Suicide of two young Teenagers. What is going on here? The Weather Guesser showed that tomorrow will be the only day in the next week, that does not get above the Freezing Mark for our area.

We later watched a few episodes of “Mayday” before calling it a night.
