On The Move.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I mentioned in last night’s blog that I did not want to Jinx my ability to have a few good nights sleep in a row. In hindsight, by just mentioning that seemed to do exactly what I did not want. Again, by getting to Bed earlier than normal, seemed to fight against me. Rather than relaxing enough to sleep in my Recliner, I stared at the ceiling and became more alert. Out of frustration, I went to Bed only to do the same thing, while laying down. It became a back-and-forth night that ended with me starting my day shortly after 7:00 this morning.

Looking outside, it was nice to see that all the dusting from yesterday’s Flurries was nowhere to be seen. Even the Side Streets and Parking Lot Pavement were clean. As soon as I had The Weather Network running, I understood why. The temperature was only 23 F (-5 C) but with the Twenty-Three MPH Wind Gusts, everything had been blown clean.

Due to the lack of sleep, I turned on the Television at a low volume, just to give me an added distraction. When Kathy joined me, I had most of my Blog Reading completed. Breakfast was a couple of Cookies and Yogurt Cups.

We had barely sat down at our Computers before 9:00, when I received a reminder call for Kathy’s Thursday appointment. Twenty Minutes later, someone called my phone wanting to sell Kathy some Life Insurance. We have both had coverage for years. Oh, but wait, it might not be enough. I believe he got the message. An Hour later, we had Duct Cleaners wanting to help us out. When you tell them, that you live in an Apartment and have Electric Heat, they don’t want to believe you. As Nancy would say “Glad that it’s not a Full Moon”.

Needing to clean the Freezer a bit more today, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with extra Mozzarella Cheese for lunch.

Kathy insisted on walking out to the Car with me this afternoon. The temperature had reached a balmy 30 F (-1 C) but the Northerly Wind Gusts chilled us to the bone.

Our first stop was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, since I was busy doing the Doucettes on Saturday. We had more T4 Slips to use when we do our Income Tax Returns, before the end of April. We also drove by the Trailer to be certain it had not been tampered with.

When the recently reorganized Dollarama did not have our Breakfast Juice in stocks, we moved over to Zehr’s grocery store. We took our time, getting Produce, Dairy Products, Frozen Foods and Paper Products, before heading out.

We even stopped at Wendy’s to have Chicken Nuggets for supper. Paula was all smiles, because her grandchildren had come to visit Gramma at work. Again, we took our time, adding some people watching for good measure.

Kathy did not hesitate to get out at the front entrance on our return. With the help of the Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart, I was able to bring everything upstairs in one load. Another Half Hour and everything was put away.

The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” confirmed that the Flurries to our area will not be as intense as originally forecasted, however it appears that the temperatures and Wind are ready to start the Springtime Roller Coaster.

We watched an episode of “Mayday” before Kathy headed off to Bed.

We have a few things to do tomorrow.
