Even though I knew that the Alarm was set last night, I was having a good night’s sleep, until I heard voices in the Livingroom. It was a little unnerving for a moment, then I turned to see Kathy was not in bed and it was barely 7:00 this morning. When I got to the other room, I found her talking to her brother Danny with her phone set on Speaker mode, because she wasn’t wearing her Hearing Aides yet. It didn’t seem to bother her, that it was earlier than most people are normally calling someone else at home, just to see how things were going.
After a lite snack for breakfast, we were soon on our way out the door. There was a gentle breeze that was keeping things comfortable. All the Forecasts had called for wet weather but if it rained at all, it was not in our County. We made our own detours that allowed us to get to Advanced Rehabilitation Center (ARC) fairly easily. The last time we were there was Friday the 13th and before leaving Kelly made today’s appointment for me, even giving me the Card, but she forgot to mark me into the Main Appointment Book. Because she is also trained Physiotherapist I was waved in anyways. It was mostly the TENS and Laser treatments that I’m there for, because I do the same exercises everyday at home. We made certain my next appointment was written in the book.
Since we had a few more stops to make, we had Planned on grabbing a quick bite, but when we were about to drive by the Backroad Cafe and saw it open and stopped in. There was mention that it was going to close its doors a few months ago. It seems that after the announcement customers that had drifted off to the Fast-Food places, quickly came back. To many, this is a Landmark that has been around for nearly Fifty Years. This is where you are seated, the waitress takes your order, and it’s cooked to order. This is also the type of place you talk not only to one another, but other patrons as they wait the few minutes for their orders as well.
Our next stop was to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, but when we got there, the Office was closed with a note in the door, that they would be back soon. Instead of just sitting there, we brought the Camping Chairs back to the Storage Unit to free up the space in our back seat. Back at the Office, we barely parked when they returned from dealing with a rogue customer.
We then headed to the Pioneer gas station to top off the Car. If you have a Journey Points Card, you save Ten Cents Per Litre on Fridays through the month of June.
Our next stop was was Zehr’s grocery store, to pick up a few things that we use the most. Problem was, that I spotted Meats that were unbelievably priced. Even though our Freezer is full, I would find a way to make it fit.
Another quick stop was made at Dollarama to pick up some Brisk Iced Tea, because it is much cheaper there than at the grocery stores.
We parked the Car together and used our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to bring everything up to the Apartment. After nearly an Hour, everything was finally put away.
Since we hadn’t spent any time on the Computers earlier this morning, we had a lot of catching up to do. Unfortunately, due to my not getting enough sleep last night, my eyes kept closing, adding more time to the chore.
It was past 7:00 when we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza for a late supper.
We later watched a few episodes of “Forensic Files” and the “11 o’clock Local News”.

they were too close to the door to close it.
