Kathy was having such a good sleep, until I opened the Bedroom Blinds, but I had to do it. I was already in the process of making our Toast with Butter on Peanut Butter for breakfast.
We were still eating when I got a call from the Windsor Endoscopic Clinic. They had received the Doctor’s Urgent Request for as early an appointment as possible, because of my upcoming Hip Surgery. They were booking for October but have a cancellation for next Tuesday. Sounded good to me.
Looking out the Balcony Door, the Sun was shining on everything. We took a few minutes to check for important messages on our Computers, before heading out the door by 10:00.
With all the Road Construction popping up all over the City, we are had to allow more Travel Time due to Detours. We only got Four Miles down Riverside Drive before being met with a big hole in the road. Travelling up Walker Road for only a block, we stayed on Wyandotte Street all the way to Campbell Avenue. after only stopping twice for Traffic Lights. Considering there were over Thirty in that section, that was good. A short trip on Tecumseh Road West had us at our Family Doctor’s Office early.
George reviewed a number of Test Results for me and was happy to write down dates of upcoming Tests as well as my Surgery Date, I had written down, that he didn’t have. He was also happy to see Kathy’s results from her Cardiologist. It’s less than a year since her Ablation, which has dramatically improved her life. We both walked out happy with our Blood Pressures that are normally off the charts and we’ll see him at the end of September.
Knowing there was a Package waiting, we headed to Guardian Storage. When Kathy came out with our Delivery and Mail she had an interesting story to relate. Melissa had closed up last Friday at 5:00 and no delivery had been made. When she came to open the door this morning at 8:45, our Package was leaned against it. If it was delivered on Friday, it had spent the weekend there, and nobody stole it. Unbelievable in a day of Bold Porch Pirates.
With a slow moving Freight Train changing our route, we stopped at Health First Pharmacy, to fill my Prescription, before backtracking to pick up Medications I need for my Endoscopic Procedure next week.
It was nearly 1:00, so we stopped at Wendy’s for Grilled Chicken Wraps to fill up and Small Chocolate Frosties to cool down. They must have had a new employee making the Wraps today because there was more than Double the amount of Grilled Chicken in each Wrap.
As we were leaving Kathy mentioned she like to do some walking at Walmart. It’s the same as Mall Walking that people in this area have been doing for over Thirty Years. When the weather is bad or too hot, stores are always Climate Controlled.
I
dropped her at the Main
Entrance
so she could start walking while I parked the Car
by the Grocery
Door.
I was picking up some
Vegetables
I need to make the Stir-Fries,
before
we met up.
It
was only feeling like
97 F
(36
C)
when we walked out. There were no Handicap
Parking Spots
available and some $%^*
parked Six
Inches
from my side of the Car.
I’d just finished loading from the passenger side when he just
jumped in without looking and sped away.
After assembling the Wheeled Plant Holders and getting them under our Snake Plants, I called Amazon. I told them of the Notification I had received on Friday and what Melissa had told us about it being outside the door. They will be investigating because our’s is not the first complaint against this Courier.
It was a quiet evening, with more running tomorrow and the remnants of Beryl heading our way, we’ll be home early.

You Know You're Over The Hill When You come to the conclusion that your worst enemy is gravity.
I had a friend whose life was ruined by a routine procedure, a colonopcopy, they clipped off a couple of harmless polyps, and one of them became infected, penetrated the colon wall, and caused a massive infection. they had to remove a little of his lower intestine and a little of his colon, and he ended up with
ReplyDeletea colon bag for over a year. They finally put him back together, but it was over three years of hell for him, and he was never the same again. The polyps, by the way, were benign. I guess the moral here is, if you don't really need a dangerous procedure, maybe not have it. My friend sure wishes he didn't.
Congrats on the good results, both of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you called about the delivery, that driver should be reprimanded!
