The
choice to shut the AC
before going to bed after only running it for Four
Hours,
still
paid
off. We weren’t Hot
or Cold,
just right.
After getting a late start this morning, we settled for a Pastry for breakfast, then out of habit, brought our Coffees to our Computers. The first thing I checked was the forecast for the Windsor area. Being days into the our first Heat Wave of the year, even when the cooler temperatures arrive, it will only be for a few days.
Not knowing what time we’d be eating supper, we switched things around for lunch. We had Bacon/Veggie Wraps, with Lemon/Ginger Tea and Bing Cherries for dessert.
After getting all the sorting and pretreating done I turned on our Air Conditioner before heading for the Second Floor Laundry Room. When I opened the Apartment Door to leave, there was a 24 Hour Notice of Entry, listing the reason as Inspection.
Luckily the New Management Company in the renovations added a Heat Pump that helps to keep the Laundry Room comfortable. As soon as I had all my Washers going, I headed back to the Apartment, where I found Kathy cleaning every nook and cranny she could. Apartment Buildings are very Dusty especially when there are renovations happening. Renovations can be happening at the front of the building, but the Dust spreads throughout.
I left to switch things from the Washers to the Dryers and the only other person I saw there was the Cleaning Lady. Kathy was still busy when I got back, so I had to convince her the place looked fine. We had time to talk before I had to go back downstairs to fold the clothes.
While I was folding clothes Toni who I met before, came in with her clothes. Her husband died back in February and she is struggling to deal with it. Being that both Kathy and I have gone through that, so I told her about the Canadian Mental Health Bereavement Counselling. Marie then came in worried about the Inspection. Toni informed her it was because one of their neighbours is a Hoarder. That can cause major issues in case of an Emergency, so we have nothing to worry about.
When I finally got back to our Apartment and told Kathy about the reason for the Inspection, she relaxed.
The 6 o’clock Local News was on before we shared a Modified Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza for supper. The extra Pineapple and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese did the trick. Out Humidex hit 109 F (43 C) this afternoon and the forecasted Thunderstorms, did not materialize.
With the AC being on for Ten Hours today, we should be comfortable turning it off for the night.

Many times I leave the AC running to stay ahead of the humidity that invades my areas.
