Even with a stronger Nighttime Mickey, I still managed to keep Kathy awake most of the night. Luckily, she had an extra Hour to catch up, after I got up.
Everything was ready for breakfast, along with having the Balcony Door wide open by then.
It is surprising that it sometimes takes the entire morning to get all the News, Messaging and Blogs read, but is an easier way to stay informed.
After over a Week without, we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for lunch.
It was less than a Week after the New Management Company took over our building that our Refrigerator died. Contacting the Emergency Repair Number, within an Hour Mike the new maintenance man came in with an identical replacement. In the process, the Fridge Cart broke a wooden strip that covered the joint between the Ceramic Tiles and Laminate Flooring. He glued it down, but Two Months later that replacement fridge started freezing all our food. Pat the newer maintenance man broke the strip further up. He again glued it down and it had been that way since before Covid. With time the Cracks have opened up, but Management says they’ll fix it when we move. So we learned to use a Runner to cover it over, but now a third Crack has developed and Kathy is getting worried.
Even though the Humidex only reached 95 F (35 C) today we headed out with measurements as to the size we needed. After collecting our Mail at Guardian Storage, we headed back to The Home Depot, then Walmart and finally Rona with no positive results.
By then we were getting hungry, so we stopped at Burger King, where using a Coupon, we had a filling and tasty supper. As we were people watching and looking out the window we saw a Canadian Tire store. Though they didn’t have the size Runner we wanted ready made, they had a Hundred Foot Roll that they cut to the size we wanted.
First thing we did, back at the Apartment, was open the Balcony Door, then turn on the 6 o’clock Local News. There was nothing new that we didn’t already know about, including the weather. Next week is going to be a Scorcher.
It only took a minute to install the new Runner, so we won’t be tripping over the broken strip.
My Hip/Leg is reminding me why I didn’t get to the Truck today. Looking at my calendar, I might get to it on Monday, but with my Computer still having problems, I don’t know.

Krackers
I said to my wife, “I need to call the doctor today.”
“Which doctor?” she asked.
I said, “No, the regular kind.”
It's so unfortunate that we have to wait so long for health care now. My dear sister is in your area and waiting on knee replacements. She has gone from bad to worse waiting.
