Wrapping Up More Chores.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even though we slept with the windows open last night we both woke up around 8:30 this morning after having had a restless night’s sleep. My reason was my CPAP Mask had slipped over leaking compressed air into my eye. A real Eye Opener when you are sound asleep. Kathy was awake until nearly 3:00 and even then, she would wake on and off through the rest of the night. Her reason was when we had supper at Boston Pizza last evening her soft drink that she had was Diet but it was not Caffeine Free. Due to some of her medications her doctor regularly tells her to avoid Caffeine.

Looking out the windows the cloud filled sky and southwest winds it looked more like it was about to Rain rather than to be the Hot Sunny day that had been forecasted. We had our cereal at the table then took our Coffee/Tea to drink at the Computers. After completing our inside chores, we had an early lunch so once we’d start our other chores we could go undisturbed.

Our lunch today was the Homemade Ham and Split Pea Soup that Kathy made on Monday. As always it was delicious and much healthier then most Canned Soups on the market today. When you make your own soup, you know every ingredient that is going into it and you can even say their names without having a degree in science. We had our fill for lunch and have another meal still waiting for us in the Fridge.

When Kathy does the Christmas Gift shopping she makes certain that all the grandchildren get the same number of gifts that add up to the same cash value. She also does that for our grown children. If there is any difference it is made up with a cash gift to even things out. Yesterday while doing our banking a withdrawal of specific numerical denominations was made to correct the imbalances. Since we will be celebrating our Merry Thanksmas this coming Saturday with our family Kathy spent the better part of this afternoon distributing the last of the Holiday Giving.

I started my outdoor chores draining and flushing our waste tanks. Having failed to mention that chore to Kathy she was soon asking if someone else was dumping their tanks. My next chore was to vacuum the interiors of both the Truck and the Car. Since we have rubber floor mats in both vehicles along with the Factory installed Mats it still amazes me how much dirt gets between the Factory Mat and the Floor Carpet even when this process is done at least twice a year.

It was nearly 4:00 when we both finished our chores and the sky started getting darker then it had been this morning. With Wind Gusts in excess of 27 MPH this afternoon it didn’t seem practical to use the Weber so we worked together making supper. We had toasted Ham and Havarti Cheese Sandwiches with Bacon, Tomatoes, Mayonnaise, Onions and Pickle Slices. That personal touch really helped, those sandwiches were delicious.

We had no sooner finished washing the dishes when the sky opened up and the Rain hasn’t stopped since then. Even though the clock is ticking we are slowly getting things ready for the end of the month when we leave. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Words of Inspiration

There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy.

  1. I have to be careful with caffeine too, I need to stay away from it after lunch or I'll be awake most of the night staring at the ceiling.

  2. How fun to celebrate Merry Thankmas! Your food always makes me hungry. Split pea soup ... YUM!!

  3. It will not be very long until your winter travels.
