Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
We have learned how to make ourselves
comfortable without the need to run the furnace all night. We simply run the
furnace long enough to take the moisture out of the air then by keeping the Bedcover on overnight we sleep
comfortably.
We were both up shortly after 8:00 and the
temperature at that time was 43 F (6 C) so we took our time reading and
doing inside chores. I also had a few phone calls that needed to be done. The
first to Jim at Windsor
Gas and Diesel to talk about the truck’s starting problems Since we
don’t want to have issues with it while we are away we’ll be dropping it off
tomorrow morning. Next a Call to Stephanie at Leisure Trailer about setting the date for shipping our trailer
back to the Jayco
Factory in Middlebury, Indiana. The last call was to Mark
for him to contact us.
Kathy started chopping vegetables to make
two separate dishes. The first was a Pork
Roast with all the trimmings in the Crock
Pot and the second was a pot of Ham
and Split Pea Soup that we’ll have later this week.
I went outside and moved the car over to
our neighbour’s site that has only been here twice this season. Then started
getting everything required to wash both the Truck and later the Car. It has
been a while since they have been cleaned so this would be well worth the
effort. Kathy called me in for lunch before I started any scrubbing.
Before noon hour the temperature had
already risen to 63 F (17 C) allowing us to start opening the
door and all the windows. Kathy made us each a Ham and Cheese Salad Wraps that are helping to keep our Carb intake down but filling enough to
give us the nutrition that we need to carry on with our day.
Mark finally called so we were able to
explain what was happening and what we were having to do. He explained what he information
he needed and Kathy set about E-mailing
him what he requested.
When I went back outside to start washing
the Truck, Kathy made certain that the Roast was cooking properly and set the Soup to cool so that she could put it
in the Fridge. She then did a recheck on one of our stops on our way south this
year. Something just didn’t look right but after seeing it again she was
satisfied.
I was barely finished scrubbing months of
grime off the Truck when Kathy came
outside to start gathering our Garden
Decorations that will be stored in our Garden
Shed for the winter.
Our other neighbours Maynard and Marva arrived
at their trailer to start cleaning things up in preparation of winterizing it
for the season. They had planned on spending more time here this year but with
the development of Blood Clots in
Maynard’s Lunges that all changed.
We have enjoyed the brief times we have had to visit with them as they are very
polite and cordial. Tomorrow October 3rd they will be celebrating
their 58th Wedding
Anniversary. Before they left for the day we made certain to wish them a Happy Anniversary.
I had finished washing the Car and was closing things up when our
daughter Karen and our grandson Tyler arrived. Even though we had celebrated yesterday
Tyler’s Birthday was actually today
so Karen chauffeured him around for Nine
Holes of Golf. Knowing they were coming Kathy served the Pork Roast for all of us to share.
Being a teenage boy who hadn’t eaten since lunch Tyler thought the entire Pork Roast was for him. (Typical Teenage Vacuum Cleaner)
We watched the second episode of the Good Doctor tonight at 10:00 and are
really liking it. Being around children that are Autistic this series is something that is trying to show people
that some those who have the affliction can be an important part of our
society. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Too bad I can't send my car and truck to you, not to mention the motorhome. Washing those is on MY to-do list too!!
