Warmer Windy Day.

Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida.

Last night before we went to the Valentine’s Dinner Dance I prewrote some of the post and saved it as a draft so I could add pictures and edit any changes that would be necessary. Imagine my shock when I was still editing the post and Kathy was telling me that it was already posted. I know I hit save and close not publish but it did it so if you got an early read last night you might just want to go back an reread it again.

Again last night we ran the cube heater to keep the chill out of the trailer even though it was in the low 50’s by the time we got up. Even though it felt comfortable after opening the door and a few windows the wind was blowing hard enough that the trailer was being jarred by sudden gusts of wind. According to the forecast the gust would slow down but the breeze from the north would cool things down.

We filled our time inside for the morning researching different things along with our usual reading before Kathy decided it was time to have an early lunch. She made Club House Sandwiches that were filling and again not over feeding us in order to make up for the overindulgence we all have while away on the road.
Rick likes the Fried Won Tons.

Joe's leg, Carolyn, Rick, Debby and Elaine.
We discussed my cleaning the windows on the truck the other day and since we’ll be heading out with Elaine and Rick the windows were going to get cleaned today. I even used the shop-vacuum to clean the debris we picked up at the last two parks we were at. While I was in the process Elaine came over riding her bicycle to invite Kathy and I for a 3:00 happy hour.
Lilly was jumping higher than Tucker when somebody mentioned "Supper".
Not just Kathy wore sweaters because of the cool breeze.
It did take some time to get the windows streak-free but it was worth it because we were really starting to get quite a collection of smattered bugs on the windshield. By the time I put everything away and went inside Kathy had already made the Fried Won Tons to take to the 3:00 happy hour.
Joe and Carolyn from Joe's Journeys
Elaine and Rick along with their neighbor Debby were moving the chairs to the rear of their RV because the wind was so intense on the side. Their other neighbors came over also bring contributions to the occasion and then there was one more couple that showed up Joe and Carolyn from Joe’s Journeys. Joe admits to not being too consistent on the keyboard lately with everything they have been up to he claims that he has just been too busy to write. The rest of the time was filled with stories that we could all relate to and share a few laughs while doing it.
Notice how low the Gazebo is to protect it from the wind.
It was nearly 5:00 and Debby, Elaine and Rick were participating in a game of Trivia at the clubhouse so we bid our Farewells to everyone and headed back to the trailer for supper. Since we (me more than Kathy) had eaten a number of snacks at happy hour we both thought that a simple bowl of Lemon Chicken Noodle Soup would fill the void especially when it was topped off by a Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae.

Tomorrow we’ll be going to the Flea Masters Flea Market as well as other places of interest in Fort Meyers with Elaine and Rick so we’ll be on our way early and we do have a shopping list. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
