A Finishing Day

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy stayed home again this morning with plans for cooking and housework while I was gone.

I was back working on the firepit patio before 9:30. It seemed I was better able to  focus on the finishing touches that were needed to complete the edging. By 11:30 I only had a few pieces to do when Greg came home to attend Tyler's hockey team celebration. He was very impressed and couldn't believe the progress I had made since last night.

Stopping to eat my lunch that Kathy had packed  at 12:30 I wrapped up the cords and the saw and put them away in the truck thinking that I was finished cutting the brick. After cleaning the debries off the patio I had a sudden shock. The bricks that I lined the bottom of the firepit with were too long and had to be cut. After closing up the second time I was back home by 1:30.

When I walked in the door Kathy thought that I was home early because I had injured myself. It actually shocked her to here those magic words "I'm Done". The first thing I did was enjoy a nice warm shower. I then tried to read a few blogs but was so tired that I had to lay down for a nap. Even though I wore knee pads and a back belt tonight my body is telling me it's time for a rest.

Tomorrow will be a day of rest and a celebration of Mothers Day with our family. It is also time to get back to work on the trailer because we'll be leaving in 22 days and in 39 days it will be the start of Summer.

It's about time.

Krackers

Johnny: "Teacher, can I go to the bathroom?"

Teacher: "Johnny, MAY I go to the bathroom?"

Johnny: "But I asked first!"
