Slow Catchup Day

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Not only did we sleep in again this morning because of the addiction to our new mattress but the grass was getting a good watering from the heavy rains we were having and the sound of the rain just makes Kathy sleep all the more. After enjoying our breakfast we knew it was too wet to return to our daughter's to work on the patio because of the mud we would create.

A few commenters were curious of the type of mattress we had purchased because they are also experiencing sleepless nights. It is a Seally Posturepedic that we got. They had us lay on a pressure point pad that made several recommendations but the final choice was ours to make. Also as stated before some were too hard, others too soft but this one was just right. After I finished reading the blogs we follow I started reading the backlog of newspapers that were gathering in the recycle bin in the dining room.

Kathy created a new to her soup today for lunch. She isn't into cream soups but by modifying a recipe she found on line she made it more fat free by using 2% milk instead of heavy cream and bacon chips for the seasoning. The only problem with it was that it tasted too good to remember to take pictures of but we'll do that the next time she makes it.

After lunch I went back to reading blogs, making data entries and researching a few things needed for the truck and trailer. It is devestating to read of the destuction from Tornadoes that many people in the central states are experiencing at this time.

Before supper Kathy and I enjoyed watching a movie we had missed at the theatres. Once we ate and did the dishes it was time to catch up reading the blogs again and start writing our own post. We are starting to feel left behind as many of the RVers that stayed home this winter are already heading out and others are about to follow. We'll work hard to complete the projects we have to complete before we hit the road in 49 days so that when Summer arrives in 66 days we won't be looking back. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

  1. 49 days doesn't seem long at all. Hope those days pass quickly for you.
