It is amazing how we slept peacefully and were well rested when we woke this morning all because we didn't have the alarm clock set. Watching the weather channel while having breakfast showed that it would be warming to comfortable temperatures for doing outdoor work this afternoon. High 57 F ( 14 C)
After an early lunch we were at our daughter's by noon and continued to strip the grass where we will create a patio around their outdoor fire pit. Kathy was in awe by the way the clouds were like veils in the bright blue sky. As I continued clearing and relaying the grass she noticed a hawk ride the wind currents off in the distance. It never seemed to come any closer as if it were hovering over something that was about to become dinner.
Shortly after 3:30 the school bus dropped off Tyler and as soon as he saw the truck he knew we were working in the back yard. Right after changing his clothes he came out to help grampa work on this laborous job. He knows what the end result will be and the enjoyment of sitting around the campfire on summer nights.
After Greg and Karen arrived home we all sat down to an enjoyable supper barbecued jalepino burgs and baked fries and ceasar salad.
Kathy and I would like to welcome new followers Mike and Gerri from A View Through The Lens With Mike and Gerri. We have been following their blog with beautiful pictures of their travels.
Jessica from Planning for RV Days with Jessica and Harry left a comment asking if the trip to Wyoming and the trip Kathy and I are taking 47 days with friends of ours are one and the same. The answer is no. The trip to Wyoming starts in 77 days with another couple that we have known for quite some time. Bill had promised his wife Vera that he would take her back to the Hotsprings in Thermopolis but lost his driver's license due to poor eyesight. He has always kept his promises to his wife he never broke a promise. When he lost his license he was very sad and felt lost about how to keep this promise. So Kathy and I decided to help him keep his promise to his lovely wife. Our trailer does have two bedrooms and one and a half baths so it will be no problem. Besides that doesn't happen until after the arrival of Summer in 64 days. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
